Recording with Roland V Kit HELP PLEASE

Hi everyone. I'm using X1 Producer and want to do a session with a V Kit. I have Roland's UA-25EX interface and the brain for the kit is an older but great one: TD6V. Simple question, how to I assign individual tracks for kick, snare, hats, ect? The interface does not have multi ins/outs but does have midi in/outs. I'm assuming the routing would go kit brain midi out into interface midi in. OR..Is there a 1/4 in out out of the brain into the interface Input? I'm told it will work only as a mono kit if done this way, yet I want control over individual parts of the kit previously mentioned. Is this possible and how? Thanks!
