Well just to balance... a few other books on my Kindle that I am reading or have started or read parts of from time to time:
EDIT> A lot of these I bought becaue I see references to them in novels set in the 19th century (which I love). Many I dabble in and some I make an attempt to read, others I intend to read.. I don't mean to imply that I read this stuff al the time, I have good intentions and follow through on some but I don't mean to try to be pretentious or something. I left out Plutarch's Lives which I read about in some L'Amour novels, it is long and I've read I think, three life comparisons. So let me ammend.

...and 78 items in the cloud... which reminds me... "The Sisters Brothers" was a HOOT. I really enjoyed the Frankenstein series by Dean Koontz and the Personal Memoirs of General Edward Porter Alexander was fascinating. He also wrote a book of miitary memoirs, both are really great books.
Yes, I am a nerd but I like to learn and have different things available at the tap of a finger wccording to my mood.
Still cannot put down An Army At Dawn.. it is really good. I really didn't mean to sound pretentious. My intentions are to better myself but I can see how it could sound weird. Like I said I love to read stories set in the 19th century and earlier and always find references to books that were widely read at that time, Like Blackstone's law books... and then I buy them, they are usually cheap.
Anyway...
J
