ston Read my comprehensive summary instead: "A vapid turd of disinterest".
Can I use this as my next album title? Sounds like something Floyd would do..

Jlien X I really wish you could've prevented the leak from Sweetwater so that you wouldn't be busy now correcting them.
I received a Fullcompass catalog this week with Sonar X3 featured in a Roland interface ad on pages 342 and 343.

lowdown Page 22 - Someone has even dug up, and posted a link regarding details of Roland's reason for share transfer to Gibson (and shares/finances) All this negative stuff about X3, and it has not even been released yet..! Crazy.... Garry
Free advertisement. Might be good for the base if people download the demo. The X series is like crack...you'll get hooked. Lol

If you upgraded and got 50% off, the price will work itself out the same in most cases had you waited. It should make sense to you tomorrow.

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk] I reached out to a few to see if we could help resolve their issues and discuss their thoughts. They wanted no part of it.
I am fairly new here and find the personality groups fascinating. These groups aren't mutually exclusive, but it seems to me there are clusters A) people who are comfortable using 3 or 4 DAWs and are pretty agnostic. Most of them regard SONAR as their "first love" although they choose to use other tools depending on the situation. B) People who have been with Cakewalk all the way back to the original sequencing days. They might complain a bit, but it is because they care. C) People who are legitimately frustrated with some aspect of X2, and are economically dependent on the software so they reluctantly moved to another DAW, but they still come back here because it is home. I think I understand all of the above. But then there is D) The haters who seem to spend all day here just to tell everyone how terrible SONAR is and how they are long gone and lever looked back, but there they are again. How can we miss you if you never leave?

Beepster And that's why I don't create an account on those types of general audio sites and rarely visit them unless I'm doing a specific search on something. Too much anger, speculation, bad info, trolling and outright viciousness. Shame though because there do seem to be some very smart and helpful people amongst the rabble. Yeah, always helps to suit up in your best armor before you head into the arena!

I don't mind KVR's forums... sure, there are all sorts of flamers over there but with an open forum catering to the entire music spectrum, it's to be expected... and after viewing the last few pages I decided to post this... X3??? In a word, AWESOME!!! Totally fricken unbelievably wonderful... I've been in a love/hate relationship with Sonar since Sonar 5 and I have to say that until the X series, I struggled to understand this powerful program... X1, though riddled with crashes/bugs... finally made sense to this humble songwriter, although random crashes still frustrated me... I have to admit, lots were stupid user errors (SUEs)...after all, I'm a songwriter not a technofile... but by X2 most of my frustrations vanished and having spent many hours on X3, I'M FRACKIN STOKED!!!! I'm in love... and I have barely scratched the surface of this beautiful creation... and to all you frustrated folks out there living with horrid memories... you do yourselves and others a disservice by ranting and trashing what you don't know... The bakers have outdone themselves... and I am ecstatic! I will create better songs, quicker and with more joy... and you can do the same or keep spewing about the past and ignore the opportunities to play with the most powerful and user friendly piece of kit ever imagined. btw, I just took a break awhile ago and the feedback over at the ole Cake forums is similar to mine... it's never been like this before... all earlier versions evoked both love and hate... this is different... really different... Badass Bakers! You Rock! And, while I know there will be many things to fix, frustrations and whatnot, I just want to reiterate, thanks and you deserve to be proud... Here's to the future!!!

I hope it does,,, because I'm one of those guys,,, ;) I definately would have waited had I known a new version was coming so quickly. I don't mind paying up, but hope it will be something fair. I never even got to do a project in X2, because I'm still futzing with getting everything installed and getting my plugs ins and softsynths running. ps,,, what's the secret sauce that jBridge has that bitBridge doesn't have??? I had to pony up $20 for jBridge to get Sampletank to work in X2.

Upgrade from pre-X2 SONAR PE to X2= $50, upgrade from X2 to X3=$149, upgrade from pre-X2 to X3=$199 In the end it's $199 for you whether you got the $50 upgrade deal or not!

How many times can the same people say the same thing? If all the participants just said their piece it would be about three pages long. Unfortunately it contains posts by the only person in internet land that I detest so I think I won't bother seeing how the thread concludes.
Grum.
