Thanks for the update Rail.  I figured something would be coming soon to resolve that issue.  I know you were pretty heavily involved in this process and the quality shows it.

I'm told this will be fixed in the next update.. So no need for us to change anything on our ends.

Cheers,

Rail

Hoping they'll eventually offer some kind of upgrade path from Eco. This new version definitely looks like a winner.

Rain,

The upgrade from Eco appears to be $248....

If you use the Newsletter15 code at JRRSHOP it's $210.80...

pricey...but still cheaper then upgrading to 2 then 3...

Just a personal observation and not the gospel but,

If you have made Eco Kits and Presets that are important to you, I'm not sure that BFD3 will help in that area as I don't think those convert up to BFD3. At least I have not been able to. If I remember correctly the Eco samples used a lower bit depth and fewer velocity layers.

All of my BFD2 stuff converts, and I am able to use that stuff and bfd2 expansions in BFD3, although the new BFD3 stuff really sounds great.

Wow!!!
I was about to suggest that if you had the money BFD2 is still worth getting because you get 10 complete kits that. IMHO might not be as well recorded but have more variety. So I went on the fxpansion site to see how much the upgrade from Eco to BFD2 is and it says, BFD2 is no longer available. Didn't see that one coming.
I wonder if you'll be able to buy the kits ? My guess is they will put them up as an expansion pack like they did with BFD Eldorado.

I know but from the Horses Mouth BFD2 is no longer available.

Since it's available as a download that doesn't mean they've ran out of disks, it means it been terminated

Oh well, I've just this evening started swapping out BFD2 for BFD3 in all my projects, best crack on then

I managed to convert all the Eco presets and they are now playing fine in BFD3.
If people want them I can upload them here but I have already uploaded them on the FX forum and they are Here just near the bottom of the page. If you have other user presets you want to convert I shall reveal my methods as it's a little bit convoluted but quite easy.
If however your eco presets are using expansion kits I don't have you'll have to do those yourself.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for that info. I went to the bottom of the "Here" page but I can't find the link to the presets. I do see a link to your soundcloud page but I don't see any downloadable presets... What am I missing???

It's in my second post up from the bottom. I's not a link.
I attached it to the post as a rar file, BFD Eco 4 BFD3 Presets.rar
It's just above my soundcloud link. FXpansion allow users to upload zip/rar files to your posts.
just click the, "download" on the right.

Duh,

I was not logged in at the FX forum so the download did not show. After logging in it was right there in front of my face...
Got it down and will try them out this week. Thanks so much.

Kind regards,
Rick

Yeah that's caught me out a few times. There's been a problem with the site for quite a while now
where people are being logged out as soon they close their browsers.
