Faderport 8 and Sonar Plat

Hi Group,

I was wondering if there are any plans to integrate the Presonus faderport 8 into Sonar as good as presonus has done with Studio One ?   I picked up the faderport 8 this weekend and it's really amazing how well it is integrated with Studio One. I'm not a Studio One fanboy..... I own and use both but I'm telling you Presonus hit it out of the park with this integration.
I realize it is manufactured by the same company that sells the daw so they have engineered it to work with Studio One but the faderport 8 does have the MCU and HUI emulation but unfortunately it barely works with Sonar with just a shadow of the capabilities that could be implemented with Sonar.  The faderport 8 ($499) is very affordable and looks to be a great desktop daw controller.
I hope that Sonar will get on board with it.... not just the minimum functions that it now controls.  I had the Mackie MCU and the Ext and sold them because of the partial integration in Sonar and Studio One.

Any plans for this ?

If some company makes hardware for its own software, it can be expected it works fine with that software. It can be also expected it works not so nice with other software.

Mackie MCU can do almost everything a Control Surface can do with Sonar. If you do not like that, there is no reason to check for other solutions (for Sonar). But it will be informative in case you can explain what exactly you mean by "partial integrations" you have experienced.

PS. It has less controls then MCU/X-Touch but it cost the same money as X-Touch. So far I have not see any comparisons, in terms of used hardware components quality, faders actual resolution (in X-Touch it is probably MIDI resolution) and smoothness during following automations, etc. Note that functionality in Sonar is irrelevant (obviously X-Touch will win because of the number of physical controls).

PSPS. Many people have already asked for affordable (! important, to avoid VS700 failure) surface from Tascam.
