No, no...  Bapu starts with all his messages backwards but, through some plug-in, manages to make them sound backwards when played in the other direction as well.

Oh, I think I'm getting dizzy.

Stop staring at Mooch spinnin' the vinyl Jan!

This is a great stores JB. That what I am talking about. My dad have a very similar receiver by pioneer in 1980 that I have in storage now. Looks like the only difference is no blue light it was white.

Those stories and memories and physically handling them are great.

That's what I miss.

I know digital is here to stay and I like digital.

But nothing wrong with me or anyone going back and starting a record collection just to every once in a whole spin them and relax in some memories ehhhh?

Great story glad to read it JB thanks again.

Paul

Don't ecourage me... I bought some Whiskey Sour mix Thursday and am thinking of using one. It could get much worse. BTW, I didn't get to clarify in another fred but Bro. We are brothers!! Digital is a lot easier to work with, and cheaper but Analog is special when all the work is done and all you have to do it put the platter on and turn it up.
Thanks for the kind words. Would you consider being my new mom?

Very interesting reading your story jbow! Reminds me that (before my time) one of the main Dairy provinces here had a yearly music festival called the Mushroom Ball.

Yeah... there is nothing quite like eating a few shrooms and drinking a 12 pack... the spinnning patterns are crazy!!!

Oh yeah all vinyl all 80's

In about 5 years or so the technology of the digital will surpass the quality of the vinyl and its supposed superiority of the size of its member!

All in all, and I still have nearly 2k LP's -- been slowly letting them go and replaced by CD's, but at least 1k of those there are no CD's!

The 80's were fine with me. Many folks thought that "progressive" music died, and yet, folks like Peter Hammill and Van der Graaf Generator were doing magnificent things all along, as were many other bands. I specially remember XTC and how creative and esoteric they were, but what a magnificent listen, they also were.

But to say that any LP is better is ... sad ... because NO ONE ... has EVER had a super nice TURNTABLE AND STYLUS to be able to tell the difference. Most folks I have EVER met, had merde to play their LP's on, so saying that was better, is bizarre!

One last thing ... commercial bullmerde! The English LP of Dark Side of the Moon, was vastly superior to the American LP, which must have been recorded in some Greyhound latrine off someone's lousy cassette recorder! And guess what some of those "remasters" were?

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
