Danny... (grin;-) No, you're "not half bad"... you are 100% bad to the bone...
and a real pro... I'm proud to call you friend, friend...
Like I've said before, "you made this tune come alive..."
Thanks for weighing in on this... as always, interesting & insightful...

Aww, that's so awesome of you to say. Thanks a lot Frank, that really means a lot to me coming from you and feelings are mutual brother, from the heart. :)

One more quick little thing I forgot to mention on the drums....all my real drum kits have DDrum triggers attached to them so I can hybrid in real time and have a midi along with the audio. It's the best safety net we can have these days just in case. :)

-Danny

 Thanks again Brutha'...

Hey!  Nice to hear from you (re my Reimagine thread, posted earlier, ... thank you!).
This is a 'happening piece'.  Wow!

I have nothing but gold, frankincense and myrrh to offer thee, re this piece!  (Since I have none of that, will you accept high praise?)

This is simply A1 on every front.  Congratulations to some classy mixing and mastering.  Beautifully arranged and vocalized. I would love to have heard the lead vox up just a notch, but that's a 'me thing' and so don't act on that unless you get any further pokes on that point.

Just a splendid bit of work.  Never heard such a funky arrangement of this tune.  Best bit of work I've had a chance to review yet!

Looking forward to hearing more and checkin' out your stuff further,
As Always,
Flagrant Regard

(grin;-) I could probably use some  frank'nsense & mirth right about now... I'm in short supply of gold too... I really do appreciate your feedback on my tunes, and congratulate you on yours... I hope you have a very happy Christmas and a merry New Year... welcome to the forum...

Will admit I listen to the first version and was not that keen hence no comment.  However this is most excellent and to both of your exacting standards.

LOL Frank! I've been here where you are....hearing something that you want to change yet you're not quite sure what you want so you experiment. When *I* do this, I end up ruining the song. Hahaha!

I don't know if you remember this version, but I've always been a bit partial to this one, which was what I tracked to. I sent you this mix to show you what the drums sounded like, so the drums are a little louder than they should be as well as the cymbals not being low-passed. But I always liked this version the best. All it's missing (other than your mixing/mastering skills) to me was the snare drum ending that you added in your latest one. I felt in the past that this arrangement had a good mix of everything without highlighting anything specific. :)

At the end of the day, any Frank song/arrangement is a good one as long as you have something to do with it. :)
