 Yes agreed the wording is confusing and poorly chosen IMO, but if you click on that buy it button it will give you the system requirements which is of course is ilock or a line 6 device with a computer.

Agree it's "vague" but again that is a marketing page. As we all know they are always trying to sell a feature that is usually not fully described.
 
The system requirements listed on the download page (as previously posted in this thread) clearly states the need for an auth'd device.

On their knowledge base it says -

"The standard POD Farm 2 license will work with just about any ASIO hardware now. It assigns to your user account and the computer.

Just to clarify, NOT the iLok one. The iLok version is for plug-in processing only."
