I have tried different coping strategies to try and keep my blood pressure down on the highway.
I had to change my expectations to almost zero and then tell myself that while what happens isn't anticipated it's expected....even then though sometimes I get a curve ball. I could close my eyes but I'm not trained in the art of blind driving.

Ask him if the coffee was coffee before its constituent atoms came together. Did it pre-exist in a nascent state or did it only become itself once in a recognizable form? Does its coffee-ness extend forward and backward in time beyond our ability to perceive it as coffee?

Up here drivers go through this routine wherein Spring comes and out come the extension cab 4x4's all polished up and shiny and all poking their snouts up the behind of the poor sot who happens along....

I opted to go inside as I wanted to make my coffee, but as soon as I wakled in, I thought the drive-thru may have been the better option.... 1) Scooter's sister was working the register 2) Place my order (coffee and a samich) 3) Paid and got short changed 4) While making the coffee and waiting for my samich, she says they're out of this samich 5) Went back in line, looking through the available options, and order an alternate 6) Ordered the alternate, but didn't get the money for the price difference 7) Brought it to her attention (Scooter's sister) 8) Had to call the Mgr. (Scooter) 9) Scooter asked me for a receipt and I said I didn't get one 10) He looked it up in the system and finally found it 11) Gave the refund and apologized I may have been happier being in my sleepy state......

Sadly, this sort of behavior is typical for Scooter's sister, who, unfortunately, is named Skooter. Growing up, Skooter suffered an identity crisis. It seems their dog was named, Squooter and every time someone called the dog, she thought they were calling her.
Eventually, she grew accustomed to eating supper on the kitchen floor in front of the refrigerator. Her dog was class valedictorian before the confusion was sorted out. While her brother, Scooter, studied Philosophy, Skooter used her free time between naps and learning new tricks to study Theoretical Physics.
After Squooter was expelled from Harvard for the "Becan Incident", Skooter hopped the fence and followed Scooter to work. Rather than leave her in the car with the window cracked, Scooter got his sister a job. As a Theoretical Physicist, Skooter is completely unable to perform basic math without a treat or a 12th dimensional equation. Squooter, on the other hand, is content to lay on the couch, watch Reality TV, and ponder the existence of becan.

They were going to do a show, but when Scooter and Skooter started talking, the network thought it would was an educational program and cancelled it. Skooter chased a rabbit and forgot all about it. Scooter took the news philosophically.

My life has been in stages. When I was young I used the forts then, during my working days, I used the farce but now that I just sit here at home eating unhealthy snacks while I post, I tend to just use the farts. Somewhere in there I probably switched to the dark side...
