Yeah Steve , I enjoyed your stretching out and quirky sense of ensemble interplay ...
your song pays  homage in some of the sections to  some pretty cool sounding bands  ..
intentional or not I enjoyed that aspect of it 
I heard some Stanley Clark mixed w  Ric James ….a few places the tune sounded like Yes…
I really liked the section that sounded like Claptons Let It Rain for a few chords …
then when you opened up the arrangement and gave it more space for the guitar and keys …that was nice .
just when I thought I heard it all Return to Forever sat in and did some hyper speed ensemble riffing 
I know how hard it is to do a song like this as a one man guy / band …next time out try to get some of the parts to 
back off a little in meter and have them play a little behind the beat in sections …other than that 
cool beans man ….

This is something special. I think this is awesome!
 
The only thing I would change is when the tempo picks up near the end, have the snare hit just on the accents and use the "close hi hat" in it's place. Of course this is subjective but it's just me thinking out loud.
 
Very good musicianship!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Listening as I type, really enjoying this. Very nice piece of "acoustic fusion"? Is that a genre?
No matter, it's all good. Killer sounds on everything and it does sound like an ensemble piece.
Listening again. Bass sound is great. Nice arrangement.

@Makke - thanks.  Groove and melody were certainly a big part of this one.
 
@Kenny - I didn't intentionally emulate any of those artists, but knowing all of them very well I will certainly take your commentary as a very big compliment!  As far as playing behind the beat, I am definitely an ahead-of-the-beat player by nature so it takes effort to do otherwise.  But I love players that are in the pocket or just behind so will definitely have to keep that it mind.
 
@Robert - Thanks!  I appreciate that.   I wouldn't have thought to replace the snare with a hi-hat pedal, but now that you've said it I can definitely hear that as a very good alternative.
 
@Bob - Acoustic fusion is exactly what I intended.  OK, not really, but I like it!  Thanks for the compliments!
