ok, I deleted asio 4 all, and restarted my computer, seems to be working better "most" of the time, but on one project it does this wierd drop out thing were no audio for like 30 seconds even when I start and restart the player. Then I get a wierd sound, like the tail end of delay or reverb, and it starts again. This is the version of my project with PLAY in it though, not sure if that's connect, I will have to do more investigation. new pic https://www.dropbox.com/s/1eqbasnrhxgccmn/Screenshot%202014-07-10%2018.04.07.png

Did you delete ASIO4All, or did you uninstall it? Simply deleting can leave a lot of garbage behind. Those reported numbers aren't even close to each other. That's kind of disturbing. Have you done a cold restart of you computer? Here's something you might want to try. Switch your driver mode to WDM. Let Sonar run the tests. This will force it to re-evaluate the Focusrite. Then switch back to ASIO. Also, be sure the Focusrite is selected for both Playback and recording timing masters ( it isn't in the screenshot). Or..you may need to take a more heavy handed approach. Restore your system to before the Focusrite was installed. Do a proper uninstall of ASIO4All. Then install the Focusrite drivers per recommended procedure. That's a nice unit, but something is definitely getting in the way.

I uninstalled, and then did a restart. I will try a cold restart and switching drivers next. Also setting Focusrite on both. Thanks!

I unistalled Scarlet mix control, deleted any references to asio4all from the registery, did a restart of the computer, reinstalled mix control, and then restarted the computer again. Also, made sure to have playback and record both set. I am still having problems. Getting a wierd drop out where playback continues but sound stops. Then if i open the driver window, and hit close, I can hear the reverb tails release, and it starts playing again. I will have to do some more experimenting. Not really sure what to do now.

Well, I've decided to just go for a fresh install of windows, if that won't do the trick, then I don't know what willl. Course now I'm getting the stupid windows can't install to MBT partition error. And the tricks I did last time to get it to install won't work. The saga of the broken computer will probably have to continue tomorrow, lol

This is for Windows 7 (beyond like 8 or whatever I do not know). Maybe I missed it, but I did not see what OS you are using. Anyway, if Windows 7 or beyond, just check the hard disk by clicking on Computer on the desktop and getting up the C:\ drive where the OS is, and right clicking and selecting Properties. There you will see Tools and Check Harddisk. Since it is the OS drive you will have to restart your computer and if any files are wrong or corrupted, then Windows will replace those before the computer starts up. As for the ASIO4All I never used it, and would not know if any files are left over, and if it can be deleted like any regular program in Control Panel -> Programs and Features (or something like that where you un-install programs). If not sure, then in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> System Configuration then you can start up the programs you want to start up and disable by unchecking the checkbox or stopping the program from starting up when the computer boots up. You can go and Start up the computer also in Minimal Mode and all of that also there in those Windows as well as processes from Microsoft or other programs you do not want to start up the computer with. If ASIO4All left other files around, then you may have to use another program to see what leftover files are on the computer and have that program remove them if necessary. You can use this program that may help for about 30 days and I have used it: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html on the bottom of that page you will see version 2.5.9 that can be downloaded. Not the latest version but it works, and may help.

I've got a fresh install of windows, and everything reinstalled, and so far no dropouts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I think that did it. Thanks again, for all the help!
