Good name!
You're right about the pictures. In real life, this is one gorgeous lady.
On my original Genesis, the neck binding is a little sloppy, so I wasn't sure what to expect. On the Riviera it is very clean and nicely done.
How do you like the middle position with all three pups engaged?
I'm diggin' it, and with the right pedal and amp settings, she really likes to sing.

Thanks, guys.

Didn't get to play with the guitars as much as I want - it's the weekend for us, and for me, meaning I spend less time in the studio and do stuff with my lovely lady.

Yesterday it was pretty much just a matter of verifying that everything works as expected, so I plugged the guitar in the nearest amp, which happened to be my Line 6 Spider - not necessarily the best thing to work out an instrument's "personality" and its more subtle sides.

I should have some time today to try it with my little Randall tube amp.

Lastly, the Bigsby is exactly what I was hoping for.

I can't get over how gorgeous this guitar is - almost like a classic 50's car or something.

Incidentally, I don't know what happened w/ those strings but I'd never seen my fingertips so dirty from playing a guitar.

Don't know, but it's pretty incredible how much difference a fresh set of Ernie Ball made. The guitar is much more playable.

I'm lovin' the middle position/3 pick-ups thingie - messing just a tiny bit with the volume for each pick up and creating different balances will get you a lot of different tones. I loved doing that on my Les Paul's, and now, with those 3 P-90's, the possibilities are multiplied.

And w/ the action lowered a bit, that is it!

As for the "E" on the pickguard, the lower part was already lifted when I opened the case. The minute everything was adjusted and I was sure that there weren't any issue with the electronics or anything else, I simply removed it. I was worried that maybe there'd be some residue but it came right off, nice and clean.
