Nope..not hardly ....but it's not rocket science to know that a company
should never leave it's paying customers without support.  You don't need
a Business Degree, or any degree, to figure that out...

Have a nice one boys...

Unfortunately there never
paulo
What was the question again......?

There was no hypothetical question.   A hypothetical question is one asked out of interest, as the answer will have no effect on the situation. What we got instead was a loaded question: "A loaded question or complex question fallacy is a question which contains a controversial or unjustified assumption (e.g., a presumption of guilt)". I don't expect Larry to understand the difference but others might. I'm not sure what degrees Larry claims to hold, but I would be genuinely shocked if any of them are in business or science.  I would be shocked if one of them is English because you would think he would be able to distinguish between expository, fact driven statements and editorial ranting  that depends on inciting rage instead of reason.  As humans, emotion is part of how we come to conclusions and is only natural. It is not wrong or Larry to feel how he feels because they are is his emotions.  What is wrong is to expect others to agree strictly based on his emotions with absolutely no facts to support his claims. Even more wrong his is insistence on insulting anyone who does not agree and wild claims to know what motivates their opinions.  I have seen multiple times where people will state their position for him to counter that he somehow knows "the real reason".  Maybe one of those degrees is in mind reading.

Re: Hypothetical Question 2014/09/08 19:25:02 (permalink)
I think Larry's concerns go deeper than this IK plug-in or any product for that matter. I think the real point here is how we are played and how we gave in and gave up. This part of Larry's statement say's it all and can not be disputed. Because we have given up in this country and that's why things are so bad.

Larry's statement:"This is NOT ACCEPTABLE.  And I hope that one day, just maybe, people will wake up and stop giving in to GAS,to the Corporations, and Governments, that ramrod things down our throat and we're just supposed to "move on and get over it".
That is a VERY POOR statement of OUR mentality.  THIS is the reason why this country is doomed. Because WE THE PEOPLE, WE THE CUSTOMER, WE THE REASON THESE COMPANY'S AND THE GOVERNMENT'S JOBS EXIST, have allowed ourselves to "cease to matter".  As long as "our little microcosm" is OK, nothing and no one else matters!  As long as we get what we want, we don't care about the "other" guy.  We allow "others" to influence us and let "others" make decisions for "us" even though we really have NO IDEA what decisions are being made.  As long as "I" can do what I need,  and get what "I" want, I'll let it go and move on.  Forget about my fellow man, he can fend for himself.
OCD and GAS win, and that makes the Corporations and Governments VERY HAPPY!
They show us the "shiny new toy" and our eyes bug out and we say "I GOTTA HAVE IT!"  We're actually programmed to be that way.  Did you think they called what you watched all those years  "programming" for any other reason?
So carry on Mr Consumer...knowing that if the Corporate Giant steps on you..it's OK..they're here to make money, and you should "just let it go already" because everyone else rolled over and played dead, you should to!"

Get over it and be thankful that you're blessed to own any software.  Seems to me there was a time people in THIS forum chimed in to provide software for others.  I thought that was pretty cool.

I think the fact that someone finds great deals on software and provides links, etc to them....is really cool too.  That saves me a lot of time, although I've yet to buy anything because of them.  Keeps me informed however and I like that.  Thanks ;-)

Wow.

I am trying to figure out if this is an example of why we need moderation......

........or if this is an example of a forum being able to moderate its self. I bet IKM is going to steer clear of this one.

I have a low post count because I don't want to run the risk of coming across as a pompous jerk as some people with high post counts do...

Those guys with high post counts are jerks. I know.
