Z3ta's presets are even more misleading than Rapture's imo.  The presets are more useful than original Z3ta, but still too much trance.

I don't use DP as much as I used to.  Mostly because of Kontakt.  It still has a bunch of good sounds and most of the sounds take up a smaller footprint, which is nice when I need to do something in a 32 bit app like P5.

I don't use Rapture as much as I used to either, mainly because of the number of synths out there.  However, I keep coming back to it because I just seem to be able to make so many useful sounds with it.  I definitely recommend checking out the free Muz3um pack, as well as the CA rapture packs and the Universal 120 pack.

Z3ta+ and I don't seem to get along quite as well, even with its modern revamping.  There are only a few presets I have seen that I like for it, these being the Virus mod and the Muz3um set.  I think I liked a few of the Xenos sets too.

Z3ta+ is a very powerful synth but as I mentioned in an earlier post I only really found it really useful once I started programming from scratch.

Its not that hard once you grasp the modulation matrix but I do tend to  have trouble imagining what the wave shaping is going to sound like before I start, hence there is quite a bit of trial and error. If you do a lot of programming of course experience will start to tell you what to expect.

My problem is that I tend to forget that I have some of these products. I just reach for the ones I always use out of habit.

That does happen, you can have too much stuff.

Also you are going to get better results from a less capable program you know well that a better one you don't know your way around.

See, I actually really like this. I have things I use daily and will remain in my arsenal, but sometimes when I feel like something is missing, it's good to pull up something I've not used in a while because most of them are decent products and might put a new spin on something I'm working on that I might not have considered with my normal workflow.

I bought the virtual instruments video from the Cake shop.  You do learn a sense of appreciation from some of them.
I thought Beatscape was a great idea. To play 16 Rx2 files in Reason you need 16 devices.

Cyclone was ahead of it's time. I remember seeing it in Sonar2 and never messed with it.
