hahahahahaha... twonk... I have never heard that before, you must made me accidentally spit onto my monitor.

I was about to say wizard is probably a Brit and sure enough... Brit.

British slang is best slang.

If you google, you will also find that this guy has published this letter on the net.  Not good.  I have emailed him.

It was NOT a private email. It was mass-broadcast and I was one of the cc: recipients.

I didn't think you would do something like that which is why I was so surprised.

You are correct, I wouldn't. But he made it public. So I made it more public :)

He has not responded to my request for a retraction.

Ya, I'm sorry Craig. I totally read into it wrong. I shouldn't have said anything. When I first read it I thought it was an email sent just to you. I didn't get the context.

its been a little confusing to some, obviously for this guy that's for sure.
cant wait till he figures out he's wrong. I would love to see the look on his face..lol.
"oh its not a subscription ?"  lol

I think cakewalk has made it easier for folks to own a great software. some cant handle paying it all upfront at once,
so they have made it like a car payment. or you can do what we have always done, but it in full.
no different really, just tried to make it easier for folks. yet some cant understand that and become confused.
that's not the problem, being confused, it happens.

but being confused and going on a rant, while not having all the facts, that's a whole different ball game.

Well check this out. Charles had the integrity to send out a retraction once I told him how the program worked. He apologized for not researching before writing, and I apologized for beating him up verbally LOL. Here is the retraction he sent:

CORRECTION ABOUT "CAKEWALK"

I was sent Bogus Info on Cakewalk and ask all to forgive me for not
researching it out more.

I thought the person was reliable and seeing what was posted sent to me
seemed to be understood as reliable only now to find out it was not.

Sorry.

As Mark Twain would say "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt", or in this case it is better not to spam an entire company.  :)

Agreed. Kind of a nice way to end the day, actually (although I'm about to do my tip of the week, so it's not quite over yet).
