Platinum Update Reset Folder Locations

I posted a similar issue in the below thread regarding Sonar Xi.  I use an external drive for projects and other folders/files.  If that drive isn't available upon launching Sonar, then Sonar resets all of the Preferences folder paths back to the C:\ drive, even if I select 'Cancel'.
 
When I installed Platinum most of the folder paths matched what I already had set in X3 Preferences, but when I ran the 'update' the folders were all reset to C:\ automatically and there were no options to confirm or cancel, that I recall.  That will be annoying if every update does the same thing....
