(Solved) REmatrix Solo not showing in Platinum ProChannel

Mine is between the PC-76 U Type compressor and the Saturation Knob, so it might be in the middle of your PC Module list (when I click on the plus sigh in the PC strip).

Reinstalled Platinum for shiggles and still no luck.
REmatrix is a REghost.

It's not part of the main program installation. You need to install the Platinum Prochannel Collection in Command Center.

Thank you ... yes, I tried re-installing everything, both manually and then using C3.
As far as I've noticed that's the only thing missing, but I've just been doing some light re-mixing of older X3 projects.
So I started a new platinum project and it's still absent.

You should see it in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\REmatrix Solo
Do a VST rescan if its there: Otherwise you are jimxed.........

Yes it looks like I am lol.
I scanned that directory personally .. with tweezers and a toot-pick.
 
If I can't sort it out soon I'll be forced to contact support, or nuke and rebuild.

I had the same issue today. 

Solved it by adding C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\ to the VST Scan Paths box in preferences.
 
Anyway this stuff could be installed in your chosen VST folders in the future?

Thanks, but yes I made sure paths were set in the registry, in preferences on C3 and in Sonar itself, and tried scanning several times.

I installed Platinum and all the extras "manually". I did not use CC as I wanted to install the lot on another Drive ( D: ). 
 
Once done I found I was missing REmatrix-Solo. I went via Windows Explorer to "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\REmatrix Solo" - Just to make sure it was there - yes it was. I then added "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\" to the VST Scan Paths in case their was other stuff under the cakewalk folder as well as REmatrix Solo. 
 
Launched Platinum and after a scan it came up in the ProChannel Strip under + ..

Maybe it would be worth uninstalling the lot. BUT also go into the Registry and manually search for / remove anything with Sonar and Cakewalk. Then reinstall the lot. I did this as a matter of form anyway because  I wanted to get rid of any sign of X3.
 
Also make sure you clear out stuff you dont want in ProgramData\Cakewalk. And any old stuff you dont want in Cakewalk Shared Components folder etc.
 
BTW - their is also a "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\" folder ..
 
Sonar installs itself all over the place :D

Yes it does install in a scattered formation... while searching afterwards, I found one folder on the studio floor behind the drums! lmao
 
Seriously though, I was trying to avoid uninstalling the previous sonar versions, but think that may be the next step, like it or not.
At least that would scrub the reg better.
 
From what I see I went through the same motions you did, the only difference was after finding the "shared utilities" path on C and adding it to the VST scan path was that it gave me an actual error.
Thats when I uninstalled and reinstalled Platinum, but not X3 or X2 .... simply having the rollback option or having the "missing from platinum" add-ons made me decide to hold off because X3 still started etc.
I do have those setup files, if I decide it's worth it to put it back on.
 
I think this afternoon after my meeting I'll remove it all, go through the registry again, and rebuild the mountain.
I felt it was just some little glitch, or something silly I over looked in the folders, but it still sounds like a registry issue .... making a total clean out my best remaining option, previous versions included, working or not.

Yes sir, I did try to reset them.
Before then there was no error given... I didn't notice it was missing until day 2 when I went to check-out how REmatrix sounded.
It ran great, then when I noticed it missing I reset, checked paths etc., then got errors when scanned.

Meaning I downloaded the files and installed without Command Center to save my SSD space on "C:/"
 
After the reset, it gives an error when scanned that REmatrix didn't install correctly, and advises to disable.
It cites the problem is in the "main call" function I think I remember it said.
 
I'm doing a complete uninstall now, and will clean-up and rebuild from X2 or X3 and see what she does.

I think this warrants a call to tech support.  I think the forum has exhausted all the usual fixes for these type of situations.

I had seen the first link, but no doubles or conflicts with other plugs that I could find.
And as far as the second link, I have checked permissions to assure system could control, but rechecked just now anyway.
I'm still searching and trying tweaks, but would rather have a guitar in my paws instead of the mouse lol.

Yes Dave, you are right.
I contacted support Monday but no reply yet.
I figured I'd give them time to look based on the info I sent, but I'll have to call tomorrow now that I may have the time with no meetings on the books.
Relaying things better typed, like reg keys etc.,  along with reboots, scans etc., can be a pain and I figured it was something simple and I'd figure it out by now... etc.

To be fair they have had a "bit" of a weather problem there this week.  I'm sure they'll get back to you soon.

Oh yes sir lol.
Between the weather, version launch, and the licensing changes I'm sure they are neck deep in more than snow. lol
I'm usually tier 2 or 3 at least before I even contact support, and it's usually just some little thing I missed.
In this case I'm pretty sure it's a registry issue with paths and incomplete uninstalls, but I can't seem to find it.
 
So now I'm uninstalling all cakewalk and everything else that uses shared vst paths, and will reinstall Platinum alone against my will.
Hopefully I can find a good dependable reg cleaner (edit: for other crap, not sonar) .. ccleaner isn't always thorough or specific enough.
 
I just flattened this machine about 6 weeks ago... wish I would have waited lol.
