Slight tweak on the mix where the vocals were not quite in time at the end. all comments welcome!

Really nice arrangement and song guys!!. Has a kind of traditional sound with a hint of pop in it. The kind of thing that seems to be floating around a lot in churches. This should do well there! Gtreat singing BTW!

Thanks for listening Starise. Reece is in the UK right now and I am sure he will respond when he gets back later this week.

This is better than the first version. It's getting some direction and I can hear the vocals better. The flute works better used now as a s.p.i.c.e. for fills. To me, on this speaker system, the vox is a bit muffled sounding.... not crisp at all. It's moving in the right direction.

Hey guys! sorry I've been absent lately, I've been on business travel out of the country. Tim, thanks for listening and your great comments. I appreciate your time! Herb - thanks for your time and ears! I agree with you. I think I'll retrack the vocals and post it again. look for another mix soon...

Reece, I like your vocal, your singing is better than I remember. BGVs get a little off pitch occasionally. My only suggestion would be to make the arrangement a little more hard hitting, greater emphasis on the accent beats, less laid back, give it some punch.

thanks so much Mark for your time and comments! I do appreciate the comments, but I probably am not going to change the arrangement at this point. I will certainly take them into consideration for the next time I do something like this. I do still plan to rework the vocals on this one, I think I can do a better job of it. Look for a rework later.

Good track and boy has your singing improved! Have you thought of using a totally different drum sound/pattern on this? I immediately thought of some cool loops that would work so much better with that groovy flute. Make it more atmospheric.

Hey James! thanks so much for the encouragement! I don't know if you remember or not, but you were one of my biggest critics on vocals which helped me to push myself into improving. I remember one time you said that my voice didn't sound good unless I was singing with someone else - even myself! lol! no hard feelings at all, in fact you helped me become better by telling me the truth! as far as the drums...hmmm...well actually I DID replace the drums and this is what I came up with. the drums I had before were very heavily tom based and everyone who listened thought they needed work. send me an example of what you're talking about and I'll certainly consider another revision to the drums. you used to have my email, if not, let me know.
