It looks like "Victorious Pass 2.wav"

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

I am trying to get the instrumental files from him this week.  Next step is going to be a music video.  i hate doing music videos, but I offered to do one for free for him.

HipHop/rap is my primary style. As i think most could agree. Rap can actually be very good music. Its select individuals mostly in the commercial scene that give it a bad name. There are great rappers who use minimal adult language such as myself (not referring to myself as a great rapper) that just like to tell stories and create emotional environments with their words.

Given my current situation i am away from my studio for about 4 more months however i do have my computer with Sonar Platinum and have done some Mastering strictly with Sonar. Usually cant produce as good results as in collaboration with my analog equipment etc.. but comes out decent. Id be willing to give it a shot for ya. If you don't like it then you dont need to use it. That simple :)

I see this as an opportunity for people of different backgrounds, musical tastes, etc to engage in a common experience for the betterment of community in general, so the more the merrier. I don't expect a non-listener of hip-hop to suddenly start sagging his pants and putting up NWA posters (although the image of bitflipper with a grill and a car full of stereotypical video babes doing the schmoney dance is kind of amusing), but I know the people in this forum understand the science of sound. This gives me a chance to expose people to the world of the kids I work with and vice verse.  I relay a lot of the information, technical and otherwise back to the students.  The kid that is featured on this particular project does use some profanity but the subject matter of moist of his songs is generally positive and introspective.  It's certainly not going to make any buzz in the mainstream rap world.  If you would like a listen, I can certainly put you on the list and feel free to take a stab at mastering.  I enjoy seeing the different approaches. If you want access to the files, just pm your email to add to the dropbox access list.
