I'm a moderator on another forum and I'm still wondering why this thread was locked? Like others have already said I too think toofanstudio is actually a fan of Sonar and no one was being blatantly attacked or abused. I've seen times where threads have had to be locked down but this is not one of them IMHO.

I may not post a lot but I scan and read a lot on the forums most day. Awesome stuff. This thread was getting quite interesting and to lock it because Karyn thinks and I quote... “I see the potential for it degrading, so I'm bringing it to a close now.” This is ludicrous, every sentence of every post is “potential degrading”. Talk about shooting from the hip and then looking to see what you hit. I've always been against the idea of forum hosts and “tecknot” is right The CW forum hosts suck!! Yeah, I said it too.
I have empirical evidence this is true... (Bender told me!) Cakewalk by BandLab, Splat and other DAW's PC = Win 10 64 Bit, i7 3770, 16Gb RAM, 256GB Samsung 2.5’ 840 PRO SATA6GB/s SSD 1, and 2 x 2Tb Internal, Monitors = 2 24” Samsung SA450 and 1 20” Dele Edirol = Octa-Capture-UA1010, Quad-Capture-UA55, PCR-500, Berringer 2 x FBC 1010 Alesis Control Pad KRK monitors

alewgro Seems as if the admins just need to shut down anything ANTI-Cakewalk.
You can't be serious. You post a ton of complaints about Cakewalk, and none of your threads are locked. Lots of users post complaints, some legit and some user error (or RTFM) and whine about Cakewalk, and their posts aren't locked. And the thread in question wasn't even anti-Cakewalk, at least I didn't see it that way. I saw it as a rhetorical question of little value to this forum, which is about how to get the most out of SONAR. Personally I wouldn't have locked the thread, but I don't care if someone else did. Come to think of it, when was the last time you saw an anti-Cakewalk thread locked? I didn't even bother to mention the awards and award nominations SONAR has won, including a Music International Press Award (MIPA), EM Editor's Choice award, AudioFanzine Best Product 2014, Keyboard Key Buy award, and TEC Award nomination, among others. They're nice, but don't cause me to write a better chorus in SONAR. If you really want an opinion, I think the main reason is because the Pro Audio world is Mac-centric and SONAR is Windows-only.

Well I love Sonar, the posts I make are about some of the visual gripes I have, but nothing to be locked. And I dont see anything in the original post to make it locked.

As I said, personally I wouldn't have locked the thread but I also don't think it matters. However I do think Karyn is probably right that it had run its course, a lot of the later responses had already gone off in other directions.

John I find it a unanswerable question. There is no way to know who uses what. The question is by its nature provocative. I think that alone was good reason to lock the thread.
At the risk of being suspended... John, shut up! You are a waist of space on this (or any) forum. Like some other "hosts," you fail to read things in context. Are you hosts stuck on key words to target or what? It's you who make these threads so frustrating. Damn! Can't even have a conversation. The CW forum hosts suck!! Yeah, I said it.
I'm going to give this a pass. I think you are upset and not thinking clearly.
F*** you, John! Why hold back now! I am thinking clearly. Why don't you try it for once. A**hole.

problem with sonar, Cakewalk in the past were people in many aspects...i hope we are not repeating ourselfs. Cakewalk products are good. Not the best, but for the price very good. Mr Anderton, I want to give you a tip...i for you go to gearasluz, and search for the Glue, and the owner Andy....i habe to tell you, that just the way he talks about problems, resolutions, he bought me for life..... Rather you, Mr Anderton, we need a face, that actually designs, develops, listens, and share his thoughts from R&R side. so we can better understand it. Of course, I do not have anything against your contributions, on your recording side... I feel, that more is needed...which in translaton does not mean more work, but smarter?

Another thing, Mr. Anderton, On your link to youtube, there are videos you made about Studio one!...Lot of us use another Daw as well. Pro tools, cubase etc....isnt that the idea behind it? that we, consumers inspire developers for changes....what is important to us For me, the bigest are beat detector, lack...and inputs opuputs page in pro tools....very simple.. The questions should be like this.. 1. are those important to most conusmers? 2. Can we do better, incorporating ideas from R&R and other DAW 3. If not, work around it, and find solutions within, post 10 training videos a week.... 4. etc......you know what I am talking about

I have been proud that I have not banned anyone. That is no longer true. I Banned Technot. I think this has gone far enough. We can't allow members to to swear at us. I'm also locking this thread. Please do not start another thread on this subject.
