hmmm, that post doesn't make a lot of sense on its own at the TOTP... Maybe it should get moved to the FSF

While coffee is a blues beverage, I'm pretty sure lattes are out.
“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Lattes aren't even American. Every time I buy a coffee at Starbucks, which is very infrequently, I ask for a Large. I am then asked..."Did you mean a Grande?" To which I reply...no I asked for a Large.

I'm not sure that "coffee" is American (at least, in the sense of "from the United States"), per se, if we're being precise. The only state to have the environment/climate to grow it is Hawaii. It was clearly a popular blues beverage long before Hawaii was a state, so.... Pretty much everything we have is imported from somewhere (including whiskey and bourbon), hence the origin of the beverage would seem to be secondary. But, yeah, you're right: lattes are communistic in origin, I'm sure. And Marx never sang the blues. I think what he sang was called "the reds" and had something to do with the anger of the proletariat. I don't get Starbucks either; it seems to be a chain that built its reputation on burning the coffee beans. I guess I've never had a predilection for "French Roasted" coffee and I really like "coffee-flavored" coffee and not all the flavored syrups and such. And here's another one: There just isn't a blues town with the word "Beach" anywhere in its name. And this is surreal (and it's definitely not the blues): https://youtu.be/kI9nFOzz1t8.

Dying in your Cadillac in an accident on the interstate while on one's way to a gig is a blues way to die. I guess dying in (someone else's stolen) Cadillac in an accident on the interstate while on one's way to a gig (hopefully, not stolen from someone else, for both ethical and artistic reasons) would also be a blues way to die. And I think some of the other blues ways to die could be qualified a bit. For instance, getting stabbed by a jealous lover is a blues way to die, unless one is playing a polka job.

A Cadillac that runs off the bridge and into the river with four lawyers in it is not the Blues, but a tragedy. ('Cause we all know that car can hold at least six lawyers!)

So true! It is also fair to say that no matter how deeply he is stabbed by a jealous lover, no matter in what vehicle he gets to the gig, no matter what he is drinking, and even no matter whether or not he was from Memphis, an autoharpist absolutely cannot experience a blues way to die (also doubtful for bassoonists, bagpipers, clarinetists (born after 1950), shenai players, and most accordion players [zydeco artists exempted]). A lawyer told me this joke: Scientists have decided to switch from lab rats to lawyers as test animals. The reasons are three:1) Lawyers are more plentiful.2) Lawyers are cheaper to feed.3) The scientists found that they were less likely to bond with the lawyers.

Natural Habitats for Blues Players: - Whippin' post
- Street, Alley, or Corner
- Bar, (but not a fancy one that attracts people. Instead, it's the place where Despair goes to contemplate Life)
- Roadhouse (see Bar, but with more bikes)
- Mississippi River
- Chicago, St. Louis, Austin, or Memphis (Judges will also accept New York City, but they'll shake their heads and give each other knowing glances)
- Jail (any hoosgow, dungeon, detention facility, or generic prison will do, unless the sentence involves community service. That just doesn't count.)
- By themselves (they prefer it)
- Grave (Blues players are typically very familiar with theirs)
Unnatural Habitats for Blues Players: - Chuck E Cheese
- Any travel destination that involves Sherpas
- Aspen, Vail, Innsbruck, or any location that combines snow, speed, and hot tubs
- Endless sandy beaches. Blues players just don't gravitate to the beach unless a tidal wave, hurricane or Sharknado movie is imminent.
- Miniature Golf (Oh, they're lurking behind the demented kangaroo or the sadistic windmill, but they're incognito)
- Opera, Ballet or any event featuring Mimes (Think of matter and anti-matter...)
- In front of the TV while Barney & Friends, Teletubbies, Boo-Bah, or the Smurfs are on
- The mall (although, if they're standing alone and holding their wife's purse while checking the closing time for the store, they may be writing a new song)
- Any house proudly displaying Cat Fancy magazines
I'm sure there are more sites to add to this list.

Hi, Goodness ... such mis-information! 1. Most blues begin with ... I fell asleep last night, and she was the prettiest thing you ever seen ... and mr mojo wasn't happening! 2. I don't got a woman, otherwise there would be no reason to botgher with the blues or greens, or reds, or any other dope! 5. Blues cars are any car that breaks down, and you lost your date because of it ... like you didn't make it! 6. See number one! 7. The best place to have the blues is in a country where you can't even play the damn thing! And in the countries that tear down all clubs because they corrupt the public! 8. You forgot ... white. Even though it is not exactly a "color". 9. Crying in a mall, will get you kids laughing at your inanity! 10. Best place? Top of a hill, over looking a canyon, and not a single person on sight, and maybe only a jack rabbit looking at you and saying ... you crazy fool! 11. Wrong. You haven't seen enough concerts! You do that in some places, and that music and the musician will never play again in that state! They don't want bums. Even BB King always dressed up! 13. You are one sick puppy if you have to wait for Celine or Anne to sing the blues. They make too much money for that! hehehe!!!
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
