What a great song! I was with Rik a little bit on the acoustic a bit. You guys are putting together some fine music. Best wishes on your CD. I have one of yours James and love listening to it on the road. Great cruising music. I believe this will be too!

Hey James, it sounds like there was a fair bit of songwriting that went into this, and I love the song idea and story. I also love your guitar pads, and the strummy acoustic. As always! However, although I usually love Tim's voice, the vocal line seems a bit "wobbly", mostly during the chorus, and mostly on higher notes. Maybe it's a little above his comfortable vocal range? It sounds like his voice was a bit tired after doing too many vocal takes in a row, or maybe he had a cold coming on? Just guesses of course. As for production, I'd love to hear more bottom end on both acoustic and electric guitars, especially since you're leaving out the bass guitar. Maybe this will be fixed in your mastering over the next few months. Other than that, it's stripped down and honest, like it should be. Good stuff. :)

Thanks a lot Walt, appreciate the listen and your comments. I know this is a tough one for Tim to sing, we left it till last and it's the only one (IIRC) where the lead vocal is comped. I get a little paranoid about the low end on my mixes because the lows tend to fly out the window next to the DAW, so I probably over-did the HPFs on the guitars.
