Hi,
I'm starting to think that the "cute" thing is fake and not that nice or worth it behind it!
Not sure I ever met a "cute" thing that had a bit more than just ... "cute" all over them, although the smartest woman I have ever met, is a lawyer today (graduated from Stanford, too!), and she used to say that blonde dumb jokes were perfect for her ... she knew right away which guys not to bother with! And it was like 2/3's of them!

True... good points. I, of course, was looking at it through my narrow experience of being married to the same woman (my best friend) for nearly 40 years... and I just cannot imagine what it would be like to be with someone else, much less someone with likely 5x my energy and stamina. I have no frame of reference for even imagining what life must be like for someone rich and famous. I wasn't trying to judge him personally just the situation as I imagine it would be for me. It is easy for me to talk here among "friends" (I hope), but if I were in his position, and I could, I probably would do the same. Still, I cannot imagine what sort of relationship I could have with a girlfriend the age of my grand daughter. It would certainly have it's high points! I don't see anything wrong with it, not at all... I just think, for me, it would be hard to find common ground... Thanks for the thoughts. I will think them. You should stay away from Craig... he may get you in trouble!  (Actually Craig would be one of the first people I'd meet for a beer or burger if I could). With You and Pablo... we could close some joint down for sure! BTW, I always wonder. You have tele in your name but are playing a LP. Do you have a tele too? Do you play jazz through a full stack? Make that a double stack! My first "real" guitar was a '67 tele. I wanted to be John Rainey Adkins... I sure wish I still had it. I'll get another tele one day. My Suhr has a tele shape but is all mahogany with P-90s. >edit... I just checked the YT and SC links and found August Tele Heat Wave, Late Night Tele, and I liked the GC blues tune and Diving Duck! Nice, thanks for sharing. Listening the Heat while typing... J

Sure hope you know I'm only kidding around with my little rewrite of the story . I hold the highest respect for any person who has found their true friend in life and has made a life with that person … I have had some excellent experiences with younger women ….platonically speaking of course Duke has a way of drawing people in …..let me give you an example … A family moved in right next to me and the son was dating an 18 year old …she was very pretty btw … She was staying with the family for a while living there and she felt kind of left out because the dad and the son were at work all day …she had no license or means of transportation so the walls started closing in on her … She really loved Duke a lot so what I used to do was invite her on walks and have her play with Duke … I gave her one of those chuck it things w a couple of tennis balls and just watched the two of them have a good time . As time passed and we got together a few times , she opened up to me a lot and we had some very good conversations …. It is my feeling that a lot of young people have a lot on their plate and a lot of times they really don't have anybody they can trust to bring it too….I was that person for her for a short time ….. We talked about what she wanted to do in life , and many of the pressures she felt …her family was broken … I came from a broken family myself and I became a runaway at the age of 15 . Lets just say I was a good person to talk to and I hope I was able to plant a future seed that may help her negotiate through some of the many issues that can take a person out of the game of life when they are that young …. Somedays I would see her and she was hurting and very moody , she would be sitting outside w out a friend in the world . On those days I would ask her if she felt like doing me a favor ….She said what ? I would say do me a favor I need a little time away from Duke and hand her the leash and just leave them two alone for an hour …. I had 3 horses I took care of that I didn't own , they helped give my life meaning at that time . I loved them horses so I was trying to do for her what somebody had once did for me … After about an hour would pass I would go down to get Duke and those two were like hey Kenny leave us alone eventually she moved on with her life and broke up with my neighbors son .I hope she is doing well . it's all good , Kenny

I think that is the crux of the biscuit! It's been my experience that older people can easily relate to younger people, because we have been younger but to younger people... older people may as well be from another planet unless we (older people) handle things right. I remember the first time I realized I was getting older. I was 20something and on vacation at the beach. I smiled at a couple of teenage girls walking down the road and got called a "roto rooter man".
Communication is hard, even harder online because of not facial expressions or gestures and the time apse between exchanges, then handling misconceptions and things said that come out wrong.
Yes, I know you are not being mean. No one is being mean. Everything is good as far as I am concerned. I just sometimes have a poorly conceived sense of humor.
Life is hard, but it is what it is. I'm glad you were able to help someone. That is what matters. Too many people view other people as objects, and it is easy to do.. especially with the internet, cars on the highway, air conditioning keeping everyone inside. I think that before A/C, especially in the hotter climates, people were out on the porch every day and being more of a community. These days, people don't even know their next door neighbors in a lot of cases. I think it all started with radio... then A/C and TV moved it all forward, internet has perfected it. Face to face, platonic relationship with others is real life.... and becoming more rare than is healthy.
IMO... YMMV.

J , Where do I start ? P 90's in a Suhr Tele config is a real cool setup . I used to know John Suhr when he worked at Rudy's on West 48 th street …. John is Top Guitar Builder some day when I can afford it I will get one of his guitars Got my first Telecaster in 1970 . Bought it brand new…then I went through a few Teles over time You , Craig , Pablo and me meeting up .. The powers that be may have to send the Paddy Wagon and park that bad boy right outside the burger joint we decide to meet up at , it would take at least that to keep us all in check and on our best behavior thank you for giving some of my tunes a listen … Yeah I gave a few a listen last night …it is time for me to do something new … nice rapping w you , Kenny
