Yes, Dave's comparison was spot on indeed. Couldn't get it out of my head. Had to get FF since I read it. The man's a devil in disguise.

Damn you, Dave! You're going to get me to buy MDynamicEQ yet! And it was you who turned me on to FF in the first place. I sincerely hope you're getting a decent commission from both companies!    
No commissions from either of them, unfortunately. You won't be disappointed with MDynamicEQ. Although there is a lot of depth to it, and some Melda UI components are admittedly a little obtuse at first, its basic operation is quite simple. The sonogram feature is what makes it so easy to dial in. Locate the Pause button and use that to freeze the display on any problem notes. Then just slide a filter node over the brightest blob and tweak the dynamic range. Easy. Watch the weekly 50% sales at Melda, which Larry has been diligently announcing since they began. MDynamicEQ has been frequently featured in the sale at $40.
 All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

V-man, you SHOULD have a look at Zynaptiq's Adaptiverb, as long as FabFilter has no reverb. It's the next step up. Incredible tool and an instrument by itself. Doesn't even need input.

Im on the fence (im climbing and seriously considering) between the MDyn. and the AutoDynamicEQ version. "Melda Production's Filter Adaption (MFA) technology can actually perform your equalization for you based on an analysis of your recording, another recording or even your own 'drawn-in' spectral content!" .....intriguing Any experiences for/against the latter ? Thanks ;o)

I have both MDynamicEQ and MAutoDynamicEQ. I use the former far more often. The latter has 7 vs 5 filters and has EQ-matching. However, 5 filters is usually the most I need (often less) and I am not a believer in EQ-matching except for very specific applications.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Another +1 for MDynamic EQ. It's a very useful plugin and fairly simple to use when looking at its base purpose.
