Anderton Frankly, I'd rather have Mix Recall, VocalSync, and upsampling than a better drum map UI.
Personally I would have prefered Rap Pro,Z3TA+2, selection, zoom, drum maps, takelanes issues and bugs, and whatever is left on this list resolved .... We know that. Repeating something over and over again does not give it extra validity. As I said, "But I realize not everyone has the same priorities, nor do I expect everyone to embrace whatever opinion I have." Maybe you should just accept that not everyone thinks the same way you do. I know, I must be... crazy...

Actually this is the first time I have said this in response to your last statement. And if you keep choping my quotes in half and not fully quoting me, watering them down... I shall just have to keep repeating won't I? Doktor Avalanche Personally I would have prefered Rap Pro,Z3TA+2, selection, zoom, drum maps, takelanes issues and bugs, and whatever is left on this list resolved ....
http://forum.cakewalk.com.m.aspx?m=3009969&p=1
.. and the load of stuff hanging around the problem reports forums..
.. rather than have mix recall, vocalsync and upsampling, and drum replacer come along introducing even more bugs of their own (which clearly took a lot of time fixing).
I know, I must be... crazy...
Go ahead... Take me to the hospital..

To all - please keep the discussion related to the OP and not descend into sniping at each other. Different opinions are fine - taking shots at one another is not. Thanks, Bob Bone

It doesn't seem right that it's ok to trash the bakers and Cakewalk, but no one else. The rule should apply universally. But hey, I'm not in charge, or here to find the negative in every thread.

Nobody here is trashing cakewalk or the bakers though. It's just people who are saying that they are, because they disagree with what they read (often somebody paraphrasing and more or less rewriting what somebody has said in order to demonize it). It's those same people who label what they disagree with as negativity, often by paraphrasing or discussing past negative subjects that will appeal to forum readers and hopefully get them to start pointing fingers as well at people... 'Witch!!!' etc. And rather than have a practice discussion about a product, we have an emotional discussion about a person, or talk about what they want to hear... The rest can be labelled 'complainers' and 'moaners'. Or people who regard themselves as 'always right'. Stamps out any sensible discussion about the product quite nicely.. So less of that I suggest.

You make a good point, Charlyg. The way I look at it is as long as no person is attacked or CW is not attacked one should be able to voice an opinion. You may ask what constitutes an attack. Name calling is an attack. Trying to impugn some one's character is an attack. There are others but its a case of "you know it when you see it" kind of thing. However its possible we maybe too easy going when CW is the target. I think the forum should express and opinion on this. What I mean is what say you all about this. Are we too soft or is it just right or are we too harsh? Over all I want the forum to be as open as possible but that does not give people license to bad mouth CW.

Where exactly is this 'bad mouthing' Cakewalk. Quotes please. Expressing concerns with a product <>bad mouthing cakewalk BTW. Unless somebody just wants up the anti and get all aggressive about it. That's just witch hunting and Godwin's law again. It is perfectly possible to have a sensible discussion BTW even if you don't agree with it.

I'm talking generally. Nor did I say anyone has actually bad mouthed CW in this thread. What was said in Charlyg's post got me thinking. In a since I was talking out loud. I would like feedback though. What do others think.

Bit of a thread hijack consider the topic is.. 'Upcoming features/next year's planned features'. Did you see Bob's post just now? Also, just my opinion, an extremely negative discussion and will probably backfire. I would have thought as a host you would want to put us back on topic (like Bob tried), but what the heck do I know...

I was checking out the features of FabFilter Pro-Q2 equalization plug-in ( http://www.fabfilter.com/products/pro-q-2-equalizer-plug-in). At first I thought it was just another graph-based equalizer, but it's got some nice features that I'd like to see find their way into the Quad Curve, eg spectrum grab, gain/Q interaction, sidechain, etc.

Personally, as a gardener, I LOVE bugs... and am much happier about all the new features than killing every bug...the bakers seem to be playing with many bugs each month, and that's just peachy keen, me being sane and all... I really love all the new workflow improvements and features we've received this year... mix recall, track routing improvements, patchpoints, etc...and look forward to more of this... I'll really get excited if heading into the new year the bakers take many of the great suggestions in the ideas forum and work them into Sonar.... folders in console, easier rearranging, lock colors in templates setting on/off, etc... there are many great ideas there...and they all add up to better workflow on many fronts. That's MY personal preference, and as I am sane I'll just mention it once! After awhile the repetition of some... just seem like trolling to me... and I try and ignore them...
