I agree MC...

But I certainly would not go and model another 32 amps if I had already model
a butt ton.  They may have just used the "bare" models for FX, knowing that
you would be able (and I'm sure they want you to) to buy Amp and bring all
those amps in also...

They may have...but I seriously doubt it...
Marketing would say...we can't use the same names...they'd think
they were buying the same thing twice...and then wouldn't buy
the dern thing...

But, as you said...it's pretty "Obscured by Clouds"...

I picked up Bias FX Pro at Sweetwater. And it, indeed, shows in the info dialog that it is "Professional". But I don't think all the a,ps and fx I should get are showing up. I have several fx that are greyed out in the fx dialog and there's not nearly 52. Is there something you have to do to get everything to show up??

I've been so busy with family guests this last week I haven't had time to do anything except install it and look at the various GUI sections.

Hi Olpal,
After reading your earlier comment on the Win10 compatibility (possible) issues, I wrote to PG and they just replied:

Hi Mesh,

Thanks for writing to Positive Grid support.
Yes it is compatible, the only possible issue is that you may find that you need to use the 32-bit version of BIAS FX on Windows 10.  It is the case on some but not all cases.
You can always try it, and if you have technical issues we can honor a refund.

Kind Regards,
Chris James Positive Grid Support

Not sure if that might help you with the greyed out problem, but you can try the 32 bit and see if it works.

If I remember you have to login using your account details and then it should show all your missing items.
I think you click on the cloud symbol in the corner then use your email and password.

Hope you get it sorted, it can occasionally have issues with the graphics but it is a great package.

My amp of choice is a VOX and I have not found anything closer to my amp than Bias.

I don't know what people like about BIAS virtual amps/fx. The interface is slow, it takes forever to load. There is something wrong with initial attack too - like a compressor set to very slow attack, hard knee and high threshold & ratio.

because bias is just imo better sounding and feeling than anything else in software amp sims, it's a step or 2 ahead of everything else imo. for your other issues, might i suggest you have some another problem, perhaps an installation problem.

as to bias amp v bias fx, well, i couldn't do without either of them simply because of the extra tweakability available for bias amp amps before having said amp available in bias fx, and amp matching if that's your thing , and last but certainly not least, the choptones packs require bias amp, then of course they are available in bias fx. they have a good range and they are pretty awesome

check em out, buy em all . . . i did

and with bias amp and bias fx, i would recommend always buying the 'pro' version, then you have everything, you can always upgrade, but may as well have it from the start. oh and don't forget bias pedal, if you like overdrive/distortion pedals that is . . . sweet as

I have many of these same issues with BIAS as well. The sound is fine but it does take a long time to load for me and I have trouble clicking on the elements to edit them without opening up the "replace" screen.  I also don't think that moving the mic positions around have as much affect on the sound as moving a real mic around a speaker.
