Starise Knowing all of the elements that went into this one I am amazed at how well you put it all together. Also makes me want Omnisphere :) I think it sounds very cheery. Definitely not a sad song. I like the theme that runs through it. Excellent synth beds. The guitar is a great addition. Nice soft mix. As always, excellent work!
Thanks Tim! Omnisphere is really a great synth and can do so much. Regards, Dan

Dan, my condolences on the passing of your father. Good tune inspiration often comes from tough situations for sure. I dig the vibe on this one. Very nicely done with a great spatial spread. When the guitar peeks in that first time it gave me chills, great tone and I love where you placed it in the mix. I love the groove, kinda gives a U2 vibe without feeling like the same old chukka, chukka, chukka. Nicely done and a great listen. Congrats!

Hey Dan, condolences on your father's passing -- I know how that feels.
Overall, a very good listen and a good feel to your piece. There is a sustained low note to the right of center that comes in at the one minute mark and took *me* out of the moment. Why? Because that sound and the subsequent chordings sounded like a DX7 or another vintage synth. To me (for what that's worth) it didn't fit in with the wonderful sounds you otherwise have. Your mix was fantastic and everything was very listenable. When the drums kicked in, I did think for a second or two that I was hearing a Simple Minds backing track -- which is not a bad thing at all. Good work :)

Dan, I bet your dad would have loved this for the moving tribute that it conveys. This is an epic sound, and I think it's one of your best. Although I haven't been able to hang out much, lately, I have stopped in here from time to time and I always listen to your songs. Thanks for all the help you've given me over the years, and may you have a wonderful new year!

Hey Allan, thanks for listening! Glad you liked the song and mix. That sound would be a vintage synth sampled by Hideaway Studios. This whole tune started with that as a base; everything else was added later. Regards, Dan

Dan – wonderful piece of music. Although I am not very familiar with this style, the sound track from Blade Runner is one of my all-time favorites and this has some of those elements. There is that sense of “vastness” that comes across so well. It builds nicely and keeps my interest – I’ve listened about five times here at my desk (work). I’m betting your dad would be pleased and proud.

Sorry to hear of your loss and my condolences. Loved this track, for me the beginning had a tangerine dream bass line entry and certainly had a nice 80's synth vibe running through it. The sounds have been layered very well and each has its own place in the mix. Great job.

This is wonderful. I've been missing too much good stuff down here. I LOVE the synth stuff. You're gonna make me want Omnisphere now ever more. CLEAR, clear, clean mix. Perfect and great verbs. Is that the synth's verbs...or a ??. As an instrumental, it stands solid on its own. I have no nits, except that you give me Omni gas. Great snare, great guitars. Man..I need to go study audio again....or more.. Best wishes to you and your family. Losing a parent is one of the toughest things, even if you think you're ready. Be blessed with his memories.

Thank you! Not sure which reverb you are referring to in particular, but on this track there are at least 4 reverbs: - Short Room- Lexicon Room
- Long Reverb - Lexicon non-linear hall
- Snare tail - Valhalla Room
- Drum Room - PSP Easyverb
Some of the synth sounds have their own FX from Omnisphere, such as the main lead. Regards, Dan
