Using 2 Roland Studio Captures in SPLAT and Windows 10 (all up to date)
I've just gone for a second Studio Capture, fond as I am of the first, but it seems SPLAT isn't seeing the second unit, which rather negates the point of it. I've set them up as instructed but the new unit (configured as no 2) seems to be invisible, even though the Roland software sees both and claims they're synched. I've removed a USB hard drive from my setup as I saw in the Roland small print that this is a problem with 2 Studio Captures, so it's not that, as well as defaulting SPLAT's settings. Thoughts? I've seen a couple of threads related but I'm not sure I've seen if anyone has these up and running in their latest iterations. Thanks in advance for the help.

I run 2 Studio-Captures and have run them since 2013! I have to warn you, there is a thread on this forum about being able to download and keep the drivers for these units backed up on your hard drive! I went thru some house cleaning on my computer and lost my driver several times. The only way I knew of to get them back running was to completely uninstall, use Ccleaner to clean out any remains in the registry, get online and reinstall(because Roland no longer posts the drivers on their website. I'll get those links but you really want to backup the Windows 10 drivers on your drive if you ever have crashing events. Otherwise, I love these units. I have used them on a daily basis in my studio and they have been very reliable. Let me get those links for you.

http://forum.cakewalk.com/Strange-Driver-issue-for-Roland-StudioCaptures-m3358454.aspxHere is the full discussion about the driver issues. I am glad to say I got those downloads as fast as I could and have them backed up several times! Now if the Studio-Captures go down, at least I don't have to go to all that trouble of jumping online to reinstall and get up and running. My concern was as much as I travel, what happens if I don't have internet to get my driver working again. Just follow the instructions about Windows Explorer at the bottom of the thread, download, back them up and you'll be good to go in case of an emergency. That process of having to go online to download everytime you lost your drivers is very, very time consuming. Now you can get back up and running in a matter of minutes. BTW, I'm glad to see a fellow Studio-Capture guy on here. There are a few more of us, Fireberd comes to mind. We welcome you aboard! Good luck and I hope you are as happy with your Studio-Captures as I am with mine! LOL!
