Move Grid in Track View?

A buddy sent me a mp3 file recorded with another DAW at 95BPM. When I import it into a new Platinum project with a 95BPM tempo it doesn't align to my grid, there is a slight offset. I know I can slide the clip over but I don't want to do that, I want to nudge the grid over to the right so it aligns with the transients. I already found out how to use audio snap settings to align the metronome to the clip, but is it possible to slide the grid over so I can better edit visually?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, and welcome to this forum. I believe that MP3's have a bit of silence in the beginning, which seems to be the issue you are having.
Maybe try to change the now time to the actual beginning of the clip / transient?

    Others may know better.
    All the best.

Hey Zargg, Thanks for replying. You know I tried that, setting the first transient to 1, and it keeps telling me (paraphrasing here because I'm at work) that 1 is an invalid number, and that I would need to remove entries near that area in the tempo map? I haven't messed with the tempo map and upon viewing it, there doesn't seam to be any addition entries, it's 95bpm all the way through the song.

Could the "Set Measure/Beat At Now" (Shift-M)  work here ?

Why do not want to shift your clip ?  That would be the normal thing to do.

I would definitely trim the silence from the start of the MP3 and slide it back. IIRC, it will be on the order of 2300 samples at 44.1kHz.
