Is there a place we can upload presets and whatnot for sharing??
Not sure if anyone is interested but I have a fx chain preset I would like to share. Uses Sonitus eq's and biFilter2 for dist. Standard for X3-Plat. I would attach it here if I could.

Hi. I do not think there is, but it would be nice. You could upload it to onedrive, dropbox (or something like that) and share the link here. All the best.

Great idea!! Always a good thing in sharing some creativity with the our user base......it'd be nice to have a permanent sticky in tis forum with various subsections (depending on application).

IIRC Cakewalk had this at one point but there were unforeseen problems...I forget what they were. Seems doable, though, and worth re-visiting. Meanwhile, there's a thread with software accessories for SONAR that has all kinds of useful stuff.

That was a Pro Channel preset exchange that was hacked by someone and CW had to close it down.

pwalpwal it was hacked, really?
That was my understanding. The problem was some one was screwing with some of the presets or uploading ones that were a problem. I'm not talking about badly working presets but presets that were not really presets. CW was concerned enough about it to shut it down.

ok, though "hacked" is a bit alarmist, and inaccurate... from that thread it looks like it was a mix of x3 compatibility issues combined with lack of upload controls/checks... but hey! at least we can still get those downloads via archive.org, but it would be great if it were brought back to life, so to speak :-)

after some more thought, it would be much easier to control access now, as it's all single sign on, could be a quick win for cake

It was meant to be an alarm. I would avoid using any of those presets until CW says its OK to use them.

alarmist as in, i don't think archive.org hosts malware(!!) - rather than compatibility

Nor do they check why it was closed down. Everything on the net is archived somewhere.
