I don't mean to sound like an ass but it's almost useless to even troubleshoot ASIO4ALL other than to say "get it off your system" because it's buggy and entirely unreliable even when it's just on your system and you're not using it.
Does your soundcard come with ASIO drivers of its own? If not, have you tried the WDM or even MME ones to see if you at least get sound?

By the way it looks like you've made a midi track to send midi notes to Absynth, but not an audio track to receive audio from it. Whatever your workflow preferences are, for now try inserting a synth and choosing "simple instrument track".

I thought maybe he had it in the SynthRack, so I did not mention it. But good one

I figure he does, but even then it needs an audio track to get out of the computer.

Thanks for the feedback guys at least now I've got something to go at now. Now that I'm getting feedback & helpful advice from people who know what they are doing :-) looking at my sound card is it possible to connect middi leads directly to my sound card. If so what type are they?

It doesn't look like the Sound Blaster Audigy 5/RX has midi input. Shouldn't be a problem since the KK S49 connects midi via USB - you'd be better off going down this route whether your soundcard had midi or not. Looks like you're not the first to have questions relating to your soundcard:- http://forum.cakewalk.com/Beginners-quarrels-m3095795.aspx

Just an observation:- You've invested heavily in Komplete 10 and your Komplete Kontrol S49, but you've neglected to invest in the soundcard. I don't know if the Audigy can actually do the job or not, however I am sure it's a total lightweight compared to the rest of your system. It looks like a total mismatch. If you need advice on an alternative, myself or the others can suggest plenty of options.

+1 Still, you should be able to get some sound out of it.

IIRC the Audigy doesn't have/support ASIO drivers. Also I noticed you have "Zero controllers when playback stops" enabled. That's usually not recommendable, as it may cause unnecessary headscratching at some state. It means SONAR resets your controllers every time you stop playback. Actually, I don't know what would be the reason to have it enabled :o/
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Amongst other things, it solves hanging sustain pedals if you stop playback while the sustain pedal is down. But yeah it can also lead to confusion in some cases/softsynths.

Looks like you have some bigger issues to solve first but if you want to take full advantage of your S49 keyboard you should be inserting the Komplete Kontrol shell and then loading Absynth in the the shell. This will ensure you can browse patches and use the encoders on the keyboard as intended. I have a thread with tips on using the S series keyboards http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3368341 I would not worry too much about it immediatly but it may be worth bookmarking for later. But once you have solved your basic issues (there is some great advice in this thread) you are libal to run into the issue of setting up trandport controls, so here is the relevent part of my thread. Transport Controls in Sonar. NI documentation indicates the Keyboard should be set up as a MCU surface however I could not get that to work. I found a solution in this thread http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3102650 Setting it up as a VS-100 surface seems to work. I have not tried to set anything up beyond transport controls.
