Tim - Thanks.   Re: the middle section, I was going for something a little "cleaner" with the tune in general, so chose to keep the middle section "lighter"....  subjective and all as always!   But yeah, I highly recommend kicking the tires on the tempo mapping feature - well worth the time IMO.

Mark - Thank you.  The tempo mapping feature wound up being a bigger deal than I imagined, providing that "human-ness" that I didn't realize I was missing.   I don't know whether I'll use it with every song though.  Or maybe I will.

Gus - Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.   FWIW, they just come to me in my dreams.      Nah, not really, but it'd be nice.

Peter - Thank you very much.   It was fun to do!    Oh, and early Yes references are pre-approved.

Antti - Thanks, always good to know what's working!

Ian - Thank you for the comments, I do appreciate it.   And another plus for tempo mapping.... I think it just may become a staple.

Hey, Steve,

Very cool Prog instrumental with lots of classy elements flowing in and out of the clean, punchy mix!

I really love the cool synth textures and melodies, and also the really great playing.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun putting this one together, and you can feel it in the quality of the final production.

Very nice work!
Bob

Bob - thanks bud!   Yeah, it was fun to do, from the initial tempo mapping experiment to the final trimmings.  I've probably played most of the guitar parts about 500 times by now!

Tom - thank you!   I appreciate that.   I kept waiting for Frank too, but he never did show up.   Then again, if he had that could be just a little eerie....

To say this is good would be a severe understatement!!  It is impressive by all accounts (playing, production, creativity, etc., etc.).  This number really displays your considerable talents.

James - thanks, I'm glad you liked it!   And yes, I have been doing this a long time, longer than I'd care to admit.

Freddy - thanks!  This is my favorite genre overall.   Although, someday I'd like to do something a little more bluesy, a genre you obviously know well.
