I downloaded onto the new computer(via command centre) but its not the proper programme its demo mode.........can anyone help please?

My new PC is running windows 10 old one was windows 7

Thanks in advance

Hi. You should be able to install SONAR on the new maschine. Do you use CCC to install? If not, download the new CCC from https://www.cakewalk.com/Command-Center You are not limited by your old maschine. Just download (and preferable use (IMO) CCC), and install on the new pc. The more info you give about your setup, the bigger the chance that someone (better than me) will be able to help. Hope it helps.
    All the best.

Thanks Ken, I am just upgrading my setup, I was running windows 7 and last time I posted asking for some help (Help on creating a good but minimal home studio) it was debatable whether I needed to change PC. However after trying Platinum on the old one I definitely did!

I still use M-audio fast track interface but will change to RME babyface in the next month and I now have a novation impulse keyboard BUT I can't connect that till i get Sonar working properly (eek).

The new PC is running windows 10.
    processor is Quad-Core AMD A10-8700
    64 BIT
    INSTALLED MEMORY 8GB

    Hi Molsp.
If I understand you correctly you have installed Sonar on your new Pc via CCC,  but it is opening in demo mode?
Make sure CCC is connecting and logging in with your user name/password,  then try opening Sonar from within CCC by navigating to it on your product list and choosing launch. I had Sonar open in demo mode once after an update and this solved the issue.  Hope it helps.

As Ken said there is no need to remove Sonar from your old Pc.

Thank you for your suggestions, I have tried them all  but its still giving me demo product, it also gives me the option to reinstall everything on the left that is listed under Sonar Platinum (I have been reinstalling all morning - doesn't get me anywhere). I have booked a tech call for this evening.

Trouble is there is always the fear that I am stupid and its something so simple that I will have a red face with egg on it.
