Never been in this situation but do you have to roll back to the version for which your license is fully paid? If your license expired over a month ago and your are using the latest update, I would think demo mode would be the expected result.
There have also been unexpected instances by other users where their sonar license has "demoized." Not seen that issue personally.

Well i am paid up to where i am regarding updates. They come out monthly so i paid for the last update,Although it could be possible but i would not be happy at all about that.

I guess i will contact support and wait 3 weeks for a reply by which time i will have already bought lifetime updates .

    Thanks for the reply

Have you tried rolling back a month? Otherwise, would suggest PM'ing one of the bakers to see if they can resolve. Best of luck

Restart Sonar see if that cures it.
I own what I have (paid up front) and every so once in a while she'll go demo mode but a restart fixes it. There have been mussings on this board that it is a nagging bug they have been trying to make go away.

I am having this problem with Rapture Pro, and I have had an outstanding technical support case for at least three months with no progress:

    http://forum.cakewalk.com/Why-does-Rapture-Pro-always-revert-to-demo-mode-m3380090.aspx

It appears to be an endemic issue with recent products which is proving very difficult to solve. It has rendered my Rapture Pro unusable.

I have this problem always when internet connection fails for more than one day.
When internet connection fails Sonar needs 1 minute to start. I don't understand this.

I have never (touch wood) had this issue either in Sonar or Rapture Pro. Is it related to the monthly payments (I did an outright purchase (and more recent lifetime membership)?
Just wondering - sorry I don't have anything more constructive to add.

I have paid yearly and now "live time".
But every time I start Sonar, it connects with the internet. But when internet connection fails, Sonar needs over 1 minute to start. And if internet connection fails more then one day I'm in demo mode. Very strange.

If this is an issue with internet connection, my PC is typically not connected to the internet. I do not believe that CW requires an internet connection for proper operation, as I have made this clear to Technical Support in our rare instances when we have communicated regarding my open issue.

Same here. I typically connect only when I want to connect to either CCC to update SONAR, or to update or authorize a soft synth or effect, etc, or for Windows updates. Very careful about where I browse on my DAW. When I'm done, I disconnect and disable my wifi adapter. It seems very strange that SONAR would require/expect an Internet connection. Mine has never behaved that way.

    Copied from another thread:
If you complete 12 months you own SONAR up to the last month you paid. So if you don't make a new payment and want to continue to use SONAR, you will need to roll back to the last month you paid for.
This only applies to users who are on the monthly payment plan. If you purchased an annual membership it is always fully owned for that annual period. For a lifetime user it is owned forever and includes future updates.

    Hope this makes sense.

you don't seem to explain your issue in detail.
if you would like help, give some details.
are you connected to the internet ?
when did the problem start ?

Indeed, I am connected to the Internet. I'm at a loss as to what further details would be required to solve this.

I bought Sonar Platinum with Free Lifetime Updates just about 4 weeks ago and I am getting the
same error message about running in demo mode 20,0 which I take it is the error code.

I have emailed support as instructed but this is not getting any work done.
