Have a look at the ones in tuncury (the buttons and the backgrounds for menus)

- Intel i7 3770K 3.5GHz
- Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit
- Cakewalk by BandLab x64
- Reaper x64
- 16GB RAM
- Asus P8z77-V mobo - using the integrated Intel graphic card (HD4000)

I usually use ASIO set at 64 or 128 samples
er - that's it I think...

Oh, I see what you're talking about. The grey buttons in track and console view on Tungcury are darker.

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Yellow/bright green are colors that are very visible to the eye, and I'd like a them where the critical buttons and text are in shades like that.

Hi JBraner,

I'm not sure it's going to work. It's the same orange/blue complement problem, I fear:

Can you see the graininess in the orange? This is what is so difficult to avoid short of an entire repaint (and I don't want to go there). The amber in Tungsten, however, will work easily (amber's almost orange already).

So, the dark grey buttons are not an issue ( and scook already gave me his blessing to use Tungcury, gentleman that he is, if I could make it work). It's the blue to orange conversion. If you have any ideas (again, short of a repaint), ley me know, but this looks pretty strange. I told scook that it reminds of a chromatic (as in "color", not "pitch") equivalent of aliasing.

So, it seems so far that you can have ice cream, or you can have cake, but you may not have both.

Hi jbraner:

I finished two orange themes tonight: one based on scook's very cool Tungcury theme (with his blessing), the other based on Tungsten. Scook had some suggestions that got me past most of the hassles I was having converting Tungcury into orange.

Tomorrow, Deo volente, there will be a yellow theme. I'm not sure if I'm going to do anymore for a while after that.

Hi Outland144K,
I'll keep an eye out for your orange one (is it up with all the others on https://app.box.com/s/jca...i9f16uq99b1zvo9fmatnje)?
I just copied Steve's buttons and menu backgrounds, and used saturation/hue to change his darker blue into the robins egg one like Mercury uses.

I just assumed that all these themes are there to be "borrowed" from for our own themes. I wouldn't share anything without giving full credit for where the objects were "borrowed" from

Yes, John, it's up on Elffin's Utility site.

Copying without permission may be fine, since we're all borrowing, but I'd rather be scrupulous about it. It may be just my thing, but I'm more settled with that. Do whatever your comfortable with. Of course, we all borrow from the Bakers, as scook is very clear about on his properties button in his Tungcury theme. That's really the point.

Others are doing a lot more changing of elements than I am (which is one reason why I can do as many different themes as I am). My whole point is very simple: I want to give people a choice of color within what I consider a very workable theme. I like Tungsten and it works fine for me on a workflow/inspiration level, so I stay in that generally. The whole dark feel of it I find very soothing.

You're quite right, what you're doing. I'm just "borrowing" because it's strictly for me. I'm sure that's what this theme sharing is all about ;-)
