Theme - Split items to allow them to be edited seperatly

http://forum.cakewalk.com...e-Issues-m3462764.aspx
Some elements use a the same colours, despite being seperate areas. Control bar and track would work better if edited as sepearte areas.

Control Menu's Tool bar duration button uses 'Focused Track Text' for the colour.
Punch, Select and loop all use 'Unfocused Track Text' for the colour.
Track View and Console view shouldn't share icons.

I like that CV & TV icons are shared. I'd really hate to have to load them separatly. Unless I misunderstand.

Fair enough. Personally I think it would be better that each Veiw was self contained. Having just reqorked the contrl bar, it would  nice to import that into someone elses theme. That only works fully when nothing is shared. Between Control bar and rest of the the theme.

If we get to a stage where we can import and export different veiws from different themes, we can mix a match between our different ideas. The Track and Console View was suggested by Craig, so I'm assuming he struggled with an idea he was working on within the same theme.

I don't think everything should have its own control, but I would like to see it moved towards each veiw being independent. There's only a handful of icons shared between track and console, so exporting them and importing them in the same view would be granted a little more work, but I'd prefee that to the added flexibility.

Which icons are you referring to?

This is one area I've not edited (see my Purple theme on Mercury and the above theme). But I'd assume Craig was reffering to M, S, Record, Read and and maybe some menu PNGs.

    Voted.

Though for me it's more about text and colors than icons.   For example, the text color used for the Control Bar widgets is the same one used for the Track View's Now Time readout (above the Inspector).   So if the Control Bar is lighter then the text has to be darker, but that darker text doesn't show up as well in the Now Time readout.   It's a conundrum.
