im not sure you use PRV to do Clef changes. that's more of a Staff view thing.

it might be possible, im not sure. I just don't think it it is in PRV.
same instrument your trying to change Clef's for ?

what I typically do is lay out all my notes, then highlight the ones I want to change Clef's for.
then I simply drag them to their new respective Clef place.

    Good luck

Forgive me please, of course you are right, I am working on a classical piece, and in the score, for example cellos, most of the time is written (by Anton Bruckner) in the usual bass clef, then sometimes changes it to treble. Now in the Staff View I wish to do the same, but I can not find how to insert a treble clef, that is the problem. Leaving the notes in bass clef putting the high notes  too far out.
Thanks  for you right answer to my wrong question

did you see the other thread I posted ?
There's a layout icon with a staff and a high g on it--click that, then click 'clef' and change it to bass.  (or bass and clef for keys)

The thread reference was from 2008 for Sonar 8.5 or earlier.  The "layout icons" disappeared when Cakewalk implemented the Skylight interface in Sonar X1.  If you are running a later version of Sonar, the Edit > Layout... menu option on the Staff View window will display the dialog that allows setting the clef for each track.

The clef in the Staff View can be set for each individual track in the Layout... dialog, but it remains the same for the entire song.  The Staff View does not support clef changes in the middle of the song.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks. I am running X3 Professional, and of course I know the EDIT/LAYOUT/ setting of clef, (setting it for the track). The setting of a different clef at some place later, is my problem, which I failed  to explain properly. You are telling me that this is not available in Sonar SV. A major fault, I may change to other DAW, where it is available.
I questioned Cakewalk service 8 days ago about this, no answer yet, but they had a big sales drive to upgrade to Platinum. Maybe better sales policy would be to improve service?

cakewalk has already said they are in the process of hiring new technicians.
they were swamped because of the new lifetime offer. which I think is understandable if you ask me.

    good luck.
