the vocal treatments remind me of early gabriel
 
it's an excellent arrangement, and the choice of sounds make it more or less similar to 80's era thomas dolby, peter G, human league, ultravox, tears for fears, etc....
 
 
it would be interesting to hear a 'modern' version of the same song...
replacing the drums and all the obvious elements with bone dry heavy modern sounds....
instead of light strings, it'd be heavy dropped D crunchy guitars....
etc.

Thanks for the bump! Wow, what a travel into the 80s playground! A lot of things going on here, great work with the sound. I agree the bass could be heard a little more. Loved the voice with all chorus effects.
