got this to my collection today. the chainmail is really oily so i dont wear it over my gambeson yet. i also have to cut of 10cm of the arms. they are to long now, but i am happy about them. the chainmail is 11kg and the gambeson is 2kg. it will be a great training to run with it.

I like being a nuisance. I like metal detecting, coin and relic hunting. I used to collect minerals and arrowheads, pottery shards. Playing guitar...
I would like to be an amateur pharmacist. I like a couple of iPhone games: Wordbubbles, on level 1038 (bought 125 hints on sale to support the company) I have over 330 hints. I found a way to get two hints per hour instead of one.
The other game is Trivia Crack, it is fun. You play WB by yourself but TC with an opponent, either a friend or random. Free and fun.
Reading!!! I usually keep several books going at once. I'm reading through all the LaMour books in logical order. I'm reading Hofmann's LSD: My Problem Child, from there I found Ernst Junger who is brilliant, from there I found The Life and Opinions of Tristam Shandy. Gentleman. by Laurence Sterne, mid 19th century. Junger was reading it when he was wounded at Soome in WW I.
I love to read.
I like watching the Falcons.
I like wanting new toys...
 
OH, and I like forgetting I answered questions and then answering them again!

It was much more dull than i thought, so i have started to sharpening it. That's why they are a little filthy. But this is a well balanced tool. Now i can go to war!

Got my gambeson back from the sewing people. Now it fits. Or at last it is better. This is a clothing arm, that is cut and thrust resistant. You can have your chainmail on top. But i haven't tried it yet. I cant put it on alone. have to have security around to help me get it of, and I can imagine it will be a close call.

Jarsve. I have looked all over for a good set of kitchen knives to cut meat and cheese. Those swords would probably do it for me.
 
I like building things, repairing things and taking things apart to see how they work. I say "things" because I've had my hands into a lot of different stuff. Carpentry, mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, refrigeration.
I like learning  new instruments. I like playing instruments. I like history and science....true science, not the crap we sometimes get on TV. I like recording new music. I like to read, investigate ideas and debate.  I guess these are sorta my hobbies.
I also have a few vices I want to quit. Technically they aren't hobbies.

I am like you. Love history and science. But I filter a lot of the science on TV. They call it science but it really is not.
 
My latest sword wont cut anything at the moment. It is to cold to stay outside and work, so I cant sharpen it today. I got a Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener. It works well. check it out if you live knifes vand sharp tools.

Yes I guess Norway is quite cold this time of year. Cold here too but probably not as bad. I have the same problem. Unheated garage...no place to work in the warm.

Not at the moment. The neighbors have been nice so far today. Lol.
 
Well I am really strict about who I let see them. Normally I only show pictures of them. You have to be trusted to se them in real life and even hold them. I am really strict about that.
