LP 64 showing up as a black rectangle

This is a head scratcher...When I instantiate LP 64 EQ as a VST2 it comes up fine, but when I use LP EQ (as a VST3) it comes up as a black rectangle. The Overloud TH3 (as a VST3) works fine. Any help would be karma compensated.

I'm using Sonar Platinum - latest version on a Quad processor with 8G memory

Could be a problem with you video card, check for an updated driver. The LP 64 is an older plug-in. Here is some info about the problem with the new LP 64 and your PC:

Thanks for the response! The LP MB under the VST3 folder is the one coming up as a black rectangle. The LP-64 Multiband under the VST2 menu comes up just fine. Interestingly, the CA-2A under the VST3 folder is OK. It's the Multiband and EQ that are the ones doing the black rectangle.

A couple of days ago I upgraded to a NVDIA 950 Graphics card from a much older NVDIA 9400 (about 7 years old). I just installed the latest drivers, and still no joy. Any ideas gratefully explored!

first- rescan/reset your plug ins (do a rescan of plug ins)
second- The LP MB uses Open GL, the CA 2A does not. that could explain some of those issues.

My advise is to make sure you have updated windows and if you are, try installing the C++ redistributable again.
and make sure you have the latest version of Open GL installed as well.

    Finally found the answer!
I really wanted to try out the LP multiband compressor and EQ (kept showing up as dark rectangles). Updated Windows 7, updated the drivers and still no joy.
But finally when I right-clicked on the desktop and selected Screen Resolution, clicked Advanced settings, chose the Monitor tab, and switched from 16 bit to True Color, that's when I found joy.
I hope this helps someone. Big thank you to this community!
