I'm hoping P5 v2 is a hit!!!

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum. Project5 v2 has certainly peaked my interest. I certainly do like so far what I've read on the new specs. I bought version 1 when it first came but soon got rid of it because I did not find it's GUI intuive and easy to navigate around it while making music.

I'm currently using an Akai MPC4000, Live 4, and Reason and to produce my tracks. But the lack of audio recording, MIDI out, and VST(i) is making me lose interest in Reason day by day. Live 4 is cool for "live" mixing and audio recording, but it's MIDI is very primitive and lacks many basic tools.

I'm hoping the new P5 will be very stable and deliver all the new features advertised without any hiccups. Maybe this time it'll be a keeper and I can ditch Reason for good.

I can't wait to control the multipad patterns from my MPC's pads!

I have hopes of triggering the multipads with my XL7 - but I didn't think of that till you mentioned your Akai, so thanks for giving me yet another reason (no pun intended) to upgrade.
    And welcome to the forum!

    Woodamand - you "da man"!

Summer - what's up - getting a little crazy over at IA with the OASYS frenzy? I totally understand. Welcome.

I wish they had a downloadable video showing the New P5 working. All they have for us non show attending people are static shots.
For those there here are a few questions I dont know.
Did they improve the vsti plug in so you organize imported vsti's in groups instead of one long list that goes down and down and down till your synth is created. I know there are workarounds but wish there were a more refined solution for this...
Also I was thinking that the new appregiator tool would be more like ERA but now I am thinking it is not... Does anyone know for sure how it works?
It sounds like Velocity is gone and there is some new improved form of it that is now a supertool, is this true?
I noticed alot of use of color, does anyone know if its possible to color cordinate according to function in the new version.
Sonar 4 has folder support. I have not heard of this for the new P5, is this included?
Is it possible in the new pattern controls to export them as midi for use in Sonar?
Specifically I would love to know how new versions of tools are different, what is different?
What did you think of Psyn 2... There was speculation on the boards it would not be included but I think most are glad that it is.
It looks like Vsampler 3 was not included this time around....
Anything else that is not in the announcement you can tell us?
Please tell us all you can that you learned from the show...

    What up Woodaputty,
yeah...I had high hopes for getting that Oasys...till I saw that ridiculous price!

I was hoping to abandon software for good but now I see I'm better sticking to it. It'll cost me less in the long run not too mention I won't be limited solely by a keyboard's capabilities.
I figure with all my tools combined: MPC4000, Live 4, Reason 2.5 (all my VST and VSTi plugins -there are too many to list here ) and with the announcement of P5 v2 - My DAW is already 100 times more powerful than the Oasys will ever be! I wouldn't spend $8000 on any keyboard even if I had nothing better to do with it!
