Yeah abacab, that really opens up a world of possabilities, i was watching another craig anderton video last night also, going on about all this stuff.......its just really awsome......yeah that definately evaporates some of my frustration, for years ive had 2 different lots of material, songs that i wrote on guitar that i couldnt fit to a click track, and songs that i wrote over a loop that did fit to a click track....................So this new information definately will be the bridge 
 

Well I'm not a guitar player, or a piano player, so my fascination is with keyboard synths since the beginning of time. Keith Emerson was a god!
 
I can recall having a few guitar buddies over for a jam session back when I first set up the computer thingy.  When we went to record some tracks I said "now we need to play along either with this click thing (metronome), or my drum machine".  They were like "Whaaaaaat??? Can't we just play?"  I explained that if I wanted to add or edit anything, it would be much easier if it lined up with the measures in the track view.  They mostly played by ear, so you can imagine how that went over.  But they finally tolerated a high hat on my drum machine, turned down low enough to barely hear.
 
So I can relate!  It's cool that you can just play now, and easily clean it up later
