Sonar Platinum 2016-11 Staff View question

Can someone please try these steps and let me know if it's just me or not?

Go into any Sonar song (project) file.  In my most recent (fool proof) example, I created a brand new file.

Add a MIDI track.  Add some notes to the MIDI track.

Open up Staff View for that MIDI track.

Click on the arrow tool (selector tool) to the right of the smart tool.

Try to lasso a couple MIDI notes.

In what I'm seeing, the lasso action in 2016-11 looks like it is erasing the MIDI notes.  Prior to 2016-11 it would allow me to lasso a selection of notes so that I could do something with them.   In Platinum 2016-11 (for me anyway) it looks like it's erasing the notes, but then if I click somewhere else, the notes come back.  But since it looks like it's erasing the notes, I can't see what notes I've used the select action on.

Is it just me, or is this reproducible for anyone else?

I've been using the lasso in the Staff View for like a dozen years.  So, I'm kind of used to it being rock solid.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Eddie - thanks for posting that link.  I didn't realize someone had posted it as an issue previously.  Someone even has a nice animated gif showing the issue in their comment.

I guess it was reported as an issue that cropped up in 2016-10.  I didn't notice it in November, but perhaps I hadn't been to the Staff View for a couple weeks.

Glad to know it isn't just me.  And hope it gets fixed and back to normal soon.
