Not bad at all for a first stab. I recorded this piece for my YT channel several years ago. I think it's an almost perfect tune written for guitar.

Thank you wayfarer! My favorite perfect guitar piece is torrobas sonatina in a major. I'll have to do that at some point. Thanks for your furry ears.

Like I mentioned other places, the squeaks are from your callouses and I ve had them since 6 years old. The only way to stop them is to turn your hand horizontal to the neck before you change positions.

 Thanks for your kindness jmasno5

You only get squeaks on the wound strings. No one has invented bass strings yet that won't squeak. You'd think they would have by now. About all you can do is lift your fingers from the strings when moving along the fretboard, but sometimes you have to slide along a string(s), so you can't. Or you can try to use the flats of your fingers when sliding---also not always possible. We'll have to live with a few squeaks in songs.

I've seen a couple of guitarists over the years who had an allergy to various types of metals, so they wore surgical gloves while playing. They didn't seem to squeak much at all, if any. I haven't tried it, but it might be a good idea for recording anyway.

I think squeaks are all part of the performance. They convey movement, technique (be it good or bad) and in some cases the difficulty of transitions or finger positions.

I wouldn't ever try to minimse them because for me it's all part of the character of the instrument.

Each to their own however.

Sonar Platinum, Win10 Pro 64-bit, 16Gb RAM, Six-core AMD, Twin SSD. Instruments: Roland A88 and Taylor 314CE all through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. More ambition than talent.

Yes, maybe if it's not done predictably.  If Every time the soloist did it loudly at the same spot. It may be time to woodshed. Some of my teachers (un named) were such perfectionists it would suck the oxygen out of the room. I asked those teachers not to come to my recitals😂😋

Rarely do I listen to tracks more than once, just down to time restraints really.

This piece I must have listened to about half a dozen times now... Okay, it is only two minutes long, so not that taxing, time wise.

Listening again now, just for the pleasure of it

cheers
