Countdown to September 23rd...
Only 6 days to the end of the world. All civilization and sentient life forms will be consumed in a cosmic ball of fire when Planet X rips through our flat earth.
Even at this late date of no return, still seeking advice on any tips for properly micing acoustic instruments in a stereo field setup. Can pull it off myself in case everyone is too traumatized to reply. I understand the terror. We are all retracted into a fetal position waiting for the end. Just want to get the cello maestro recorded as clear and clean as I can for my last production act.

SINNERS REPENT!!!
Were now only 3 days to the end of the world. We have proof from a credible slick evangelical website that Planet X is about to tear through our planet earth and end all life as we know it. The solar system will collapse. Galaxies will crumble. The entire universe will end on September 23.
I can already feel the vibration of Lord Hare Krishna's flaming sword of vengeance about to come down upon us in anger and fury.

So, is that September 23rd based on GMT or somewhere else on Earth?  I would assume that when it starts it will affect EVERYONE immediately and at the same time, so... it's possible that the end is on September 22nd for those of us in a later timezone.  (Just sayin'...)

Your concern is correct and disturbing. In the case of those caught in a time zone difference, the end of the world may actually be on September 22.

We are only 2 days from the end of the universe. If Craig is correct, those caught in a time zone issue may see the end of the world tomorrow. The rest of us will be doomed only a day later.

Uh, um, er, if it's predicting the date of the end of the world, it is by the evangelicals' definition not evangelical, but cultic. And no evangelical would call it "credible" (without risking at least an interview by their elders; Mt. 24:36 is still taken in a very literal fashion by evangelicals). Just sayin'. If we're going to go blaming/crediting someone for this stuff, it's nice to blame/credit the right people.
“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

Gee thanks a lot for this thread boys .Honestly , I hope / don't believe the world is gonna end in a couple of days . But then I got to thinking , what if there is one sliver of possible truth to this outlandish end of the world claim ? ... I soon started asking myself what do I want to keep ? what do I want to let go of ? What do I want to do and enjoy during my last few hours on the Planet Earth ? Should I be playing and recording a new song and post it ? Nahh , I will be Lucky if I get 10 listens on Soundcloud and then Poof the world ends in a couple of days .. That is just not enough time to pick up the 1000,00 th of a % share of a U S penny royalty I may or not make  All this heavy contemplative thinking started placing a tremendous strain on my two working brain cells ... So with a little help from an all natural herbal enhancement ...cough cough I decided to easy my pain and give the two working brain cells I had left a break .. Shortly in the time frame of about an hour and a half I started working up an appetite . Ah Yes , the good ole munchies , one call always count on the munchies showing up just like clock work . I took a quick look in my refrigerator and saw that I had fresh romaine lettuce , tomatoes on the vine and a secret stash of becan that Beagle never found when he sent his goons over here to levee the becan tax on my A$$. This stash of becan was supposed to last me a whole week under my normal living circumstances . Well , I figured the world is gonna end in a couple of days so I might as well cook it all up , and that's what I did . Now if the world don't end in a couple of days I will just go out and buy some more becan and invite that real cute looking Pirate chick from the other thread over to my place for a light diner of BLT's and treasure hunt ..  all the best , see you all at St Peters Gate Kenny
