Triton Rack Midi Strangeness

Hi,
I have a Triton Rack that's one of the early early ones .. not that they've
changed all that much ;-) The MIDI out is *always* broadcasting .. from the minute
I power it on. It appears to echo midi signals coming in from the input too. I tried turning
off clocks and syncs, and it still chokes the channel with what appears to be jibberish.
I can only conclude it's defective .. I tried upgrading firmware revisions ... to not
avail.

I doubt this is normal ... I haven't used the output hardly at all in the many years
I've owned it .. so I don't know if it's always been this way or a more recent
development.

anyother Triton rack owners experienced this?

Thanks,
Jeff

I have a Triton Prox Workstation that does this. But I don't use the midi out on it anymore. But my Fantom x8 was doing the same thing. I poked around and found an auto midi sensing setting that was set "ON." After I set it "OFF" the flickering midi out light on my midi interface went off. Now it only lights when I play the keyboard.
