No, it is not consistent with the Hosts own words and actions, it should be moved, it is just gratuitous butt kissing. Whats good for one is good for the other. It's hypocrisy pure and simple.

Best answer yet. It's great that Noel is still involved and needs to be acknowleged and celebrated but is it really necessary here, as we wait to see what comes of the new company and it's product.

It's premature and off topic as to whether the kudos would be deserved at this point. As far as Noel's past performance that is left to the opinion of those who wish to express it or have expressed in past threads or PM's to him directly or has been suggested in an appropriate subforum.

I'm with ampfixer on this one.

We have had in the past posts here that are relevant to Sonar but not directly. I ask those thinking this is unprecedented to recall the Ba MIDI thread where we the forum signed a letter to his family using this very forum.

BTW this is not an opinion thread. It is a fact based acknowledgement of Noel's work in keeping Sonar going. It is possibly the most relevant thread ever. It is also wrong to characterize this forum as only about answering questions about Sonar. It is and always has been about anything related to Sonar. Nor is one required to ask a question in order to start a thread.  As a host I can decide on what is going to stay here and what should be moved. I am very sorry that a few have seen it another way.

I'm sorry you'll have to repeat that. It almost sounded like you said that this is the most relevant thread ever, and that as forum host any other opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

Well that is not what is written nor is it implied. The fact that I have not deleted any post objecting to this thread is proof I do not view your interpretation as true.

Seriously, you can not see the relevance of Noel's working on keeping Sonar alive as appropriate for this forum?

Clearly some find this news to be unimportant and so I will lock this thread
