Non BandLab SONAR--suddenly crashing

I have an instance of Musiclab's Realguitar and of Virtual Guitarist's Amber loaded, along with a MIDI track feeding each.

Tried to simply "Duplicate" one of the midi tracks to experiment with feeding it to Musiclab's Realstrat, and every time I try to duplicate I get a crash.  Rebooted and it crashed every time.  Any ideas what's going on or what to do to diagnose?

Windows 10, last version of Cakewalk SONAR.

Thanks in advance.

There should be a record of the crash in the Windows system log. Have a look there and you may be able to identify which module raised the exception. If it's sonar*.exe you're probably out of luck, but if it's one of those virtual instruments you might be able to get help from the vendor.

Here's a post I made a few years ago about using the Windows Debugger to look at crash dumps. Scroll about halfway down the page.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

With Sonar, sure, but there'd be little to lose by trying the latest version of CWbBL to see if that makes any difference.

SonarPlat/CWbBL, Win 10 Pro, i7 2600K, Asus P8Z68 Deluxe, 16GB DDR3, Radeon HD5450, TC Electronic Impact Twin, Kawai MP11 Piano, Event ALP Monitors, Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, Too Many Plugins, My lucky hat.
