I hear all the Cool Kids want an integrated sampler.

I'd love to see Rapture have an added screen for dropping samples into that can be managed, cropped, loop points set, assigned keys and velocity ranges to make a patch.

They'll probably hunt me down and kill me for spilling the beans, but ... it's the long-suppressed Talent plugin.

Waves have already released a Oneknob plug-in to help polish one's musical turds:

Please give me the link for the unshi+ plugin!
I really really need that for my music!!!!

Talking of indicators, having the offset mode icon flash to make it more obvious it's on would be useful, as would some sort of indicator on a track to show that it has an offset... maybe something like this:

Tracks themselves do not have an offset. Inidividual parameters have an offset. We already put a + next to each parameter value in the console and track view to indicate that it is in offset mode. Putting the offset icon next to each param would be annoying. I think maybe making the plus more visible or in a different color might highlight it better.

I didn't mean when your actually in offset mode - its more for when you've applied an offset, and your back to normal mixing. There's no way of knowing that there's an offset been applied.

The VS-700 can work with Windows 10. There's a thread in the hardware forum, I just followed those instructions and it worked.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

I use Nikon cameras and there has always been a disconnect between the users and top management in Japan. We have no idea what the future holds. Many people have left for Canon.

Nikon just made a mirror less camera and we have no idea how much r&d is going into the traditional DSLR and whether we should continue to purchase those very expensive DSLR lenses.

I feel the same way about Cakewalk. I appreciate that it is free. Still, I purchased Platinum and could clearly see constant developments.

I hear people saying that we should be happy because it is free. Well, it wasn’t free for me and a lifetime contract was very comforting. Free, not so much.

I would like to see where BandLab intends to take Cakewalk. Give us a roadmap. For the young people, that’s a piece of paper with directions. That’s what I would like.

I am expecting some kind of fully integration with Bandlab services in the future and I think this "social features" could be great. Also, I am prepared for some payment implementations in CBB, due to I understand that they need to make profitable their investment. Having said all of this, the main request I will do is, please Bandlab, focus on the DAW core, improving the stability, solving bugs and improving those core features that are lagging behind the competion, like drum editing, scoring, audio quantising or video support rather than adding new features.

The new feature should connect to my coffee maker, and the new In-App buy, the Cakewalk Robot, will then serve the coffee along with my fav burger + fries. While dinner, he could finish my genius musical ideas with his brilliant AI to give proof I'm a proud musician. Finally he will print my hundreds scientific musical titles and nail them right on the wall. But maybe, his sophisticated AI doesn't like those illiterate work, sort of "button press". Oh, I have a feeling, I'll love my new CR. But after all - it solely depends on the burger . . . .

cheers :)

i think that if they do come up with a proper centralised project sharing thing (like TFS or BitBucket for example) then it's really going to give them a good bump against the competition
otherwise, who knows what it will be?? let's speculate!

I guess is unavoidable to do this kind of threads, but this remembers me to the one guessing names for the upcoming TDFKAS. Nobody hit the key with those "probable" names, included me. So, don't waste time, just wait to see a new upcoming feature, and wish it to be adored by most of us. I just would like it to be the most (or one of the most) asked features in the "Feature Requests + Improvements" thread. But this is a wish, not a prediction.

I’ve been wondering why you aren’t Noel Borthwick [Bandlab Cakewalk], or some variation on that theme. Or, did you sign a lifetime contract with Bandlab and you are just being cautious? We all know how long those things last.
