Just a reminder, BandLab never committed to monthly releases.
That said, yeah I'm wondering what they are working on. But I don't expect it until January at the earliest. Just a hunch.

I saw an article on codeproject.com detailing c++ 17's "easy" conversion of serial code to parallel execution across cores and immediately thought something like that would be of dire need and great interest to DAW coders where you can't have enough performance. And that would certainly cause them to go into hiding as the seemingly have of late.

Agree they didn't agree to monthly updates but when Noel was talking about the strategy he said this:

"Regarding the frequency of CbB updates, there is no guarantee that we will have monthly updates. We release updates when we have something in a finished form, whether it be bug fixes, optimizations or features. While its been a very regular cadence so far, we may slow down sometimes when there are deeper features. For example the elastique integration took many months of work."

Given that we are two months since the last update, this thinking leads to speculation that more than just a couple bug fixes might be in the works.

As long as they are still in business and making sure the program runs on updated versions of Win 10, I'm happy.

Considering the fact that no promises have been made concerning a December Cakewalk update, and the fact that Cakewalk is no longer a program that is being marketed for profit, we should probably have no expectations. BandLab has no need to scramble to develop Christmas promotions and the like, because they have no need to hype sales.

BandLab gave many of us the best gift ever, when they resuscitated Cakewalk a few months ago. It would be nice to see a new innovation this month, but there's no reason to have unrealistic expectations and become disappointed.

True,
the greatest gift this year is Bandlab´s  resuscitation of  Cakewalk.
The basket is already full.

Well I would hope they almost completely redo the BandLab collaboration site.  If they want to bring people together in the music-making process, what they have now is amateur at best.  I could make a wish list to that end, but I doubt it would be worth writing since decision-makers at companies are seldom visionaries with practical management experience.

But so that you don't itch, here's a couple of important items:

1) Integration of Cakewalk by  Bandlab into the website.  Thus, a professional DAW for use by the "band" rather than what they have presently.
2) Either a full-time active moderator team with power to re-assign the proper music classification to what people upload (and actively doing so), or some type of voting system by everybody that would achieve the same result.  Perhaps even "punish" offenders who call their music "rock" when it is not.  Essentially, people just want truth.

Ditto.

That said, I'm sure willing to wait longer if instead we got a new indicator CB Module...
